Hey eddie, I got those scres for the little turning thing and got all that back together and the avalanche is ready to go as soon as i get those bearings. I was just checking everything and when i turn the car on and the remote on the front wheels are kinda turned to the left. on that remote i go to the trim and try to change it but i am not really sure how? could you explain a little over this or will it be to hard. lol that remote does alot of confusing things to me.

i will or you can give me a call and i will go over it on the phone with you, its easier with it in my hands, lol

Kind of new to this hobby, so please have patience with me. My Tornado BB pro pull string does not coil back, I was wanting to kind of upgrade the engine and other accessories. Question is, should I just stick with the factory eng. and buy a new pull start lever or go ahead and upgrade the stock eng? If I do upgrade the eng. do I need to switch out the trans and etc..? Basically I need some recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated.

you can upgrade to an os cvrx .18, its a killer engine and a direct bolt on, just have to swap the clutch setup and motor mounts from the old engine, the trans stays the same: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/the-327/OS-cvrx-Blue-11j/Detail

you can trade your engine in to redcat and get the sh.18, more powerful than your stock engine, also a direct fit like the os engine but if you use the engine replacement program, you get it 1/2 off, so it will be less than $50, i have it in my volcano and i am very happy with it: http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdetail_part.asp?partno=sh18engine

just ran my tornado bb for the first time after break in and i have a few questions:
1) anyone know the engine mount skrews size (the ones underneath the car)? will any skrew work(i'm geting seriously close to striping 2 of them)
2)after just a minor crash the dogbones fell out of place, no prob just put them back on but there was a oil or something on the lower a arm that crashed what do you think it is?
3)how do you know which gear your car is in? i think it stays in second..any ideas on how to fix it
thx a lot!!!

1. not off hand, sorry

2. put a small sliver of fuel tubing in the drive cups that hold the dogbone, make sure there is a little play still, this will stop the dogbone from falling out again. Check and see if your shock is leaking, that could be the oil on the a arm.

3. If the rpms are low on take off and you have no real low end power your probably stuck in 2nd gear. There is a grub screw on the 2 speed shifter on the trans, 1 of them is to keep the shifter on the trans shaft, the other adjusts shifting time, clockwise makes it shift at higher rpm's and counterclockwise makes it shift at lower rpm's.

today i was looking at my car a i noticed that the rear wheels were toed in alot and the front wheels were toed out a bit. so i made the rear wheels straight and toed the front one's in a bit b/c i heard it made the car handle better. now i cant controll the car at all. i turn when i go fast and the thing did 15 cartwheels down the road. should the rear wheels be toed in??? one thing for sure, i am very impressed of how much abuse this thing takes without braking.

hi,
just picked up a tornado pro.
i changed the clutchbell and put the hpi one on and the hpi gears. (there both purple)
and i changed the clutch spring.

but i tried to put the purle and gold gears on but they wouldnt mesh wll with the stock spur gears.
even with both purle gears on, its still not a perfect fit???

what should or do i have to change the tranny gears???

anything else i should look after on this car before i bring it out for a tough bashing session :0)

thanks a lot.

yeah thats how mine is and i can turn at full speed and just slide. i think the rear is toed in just to keep the back from wondering around. and idk y the front is toed out because the traxxas trucks are suppose to be 0 degrees in the front and a few degrees in on the back.

you really cant adjust that too much, there are little nubs on the chassis that stop the arm from moving too low.
