Hey all,

Just got the Tornado BB Pro. I have noticed that the infinity .18 engine is a little different. I do not see a low speed adjustment screw as on the VX-18. Anyone care to enlighten me how to properly tune this engine...I'm stuck. If this has been posted before...my sincere appologies.

the 049 is an easy engine to tune bro, lol.. the infinty is a good engine, even though it has a single needle carb once its tuned is a good running powerful engine, not as good as the sh but not bad.

any touring 1/10 rim will fit, they all pretty much have a 12mm hex

Yes the do. I would say about 99% of 1/10 cars use 12mm hexes.

yes, its better because the exhaust can flow easier. easier flowing exhaust gases create more power, less resitatance

anybody else having trouble with the shocks (stock and aluminum) springing back when compressed instead of collapsing and dampening only.

When I filled my shocks with oil it did that to me to, what I did to resolve it was take some of the oil out, not much just a little.

yeah, I wasn't happy with letting ait into the shock to solve the problem. It really ruined the dampening. I racked my brain and finally figured it out.

The problem is this; the half rubber sphere at the top of the shock is there so that when the shock is compressed the sphere can collapse to allow for the volume that the shock shaft consumes when it enters the shock body. That sphere is tot allowed to collapse because the area behind it is sealed. what I did was make a small hole in the shock mount (plastic part at the top) so that as the sphere collapsed the air inside it had a route to escape. also, I made sure that when I screwed the shock body closed, the shock was fully compressed so that the volume of the shock shaft was accounted for in the shock body.

Hope this makes sense.

Now the shocks work great and really dampen the ride! ( filled them with trinity 50 shock oil)

I made my own shock oil mixture, I used 10W-40 motor oil mixed with Muti-purpose Lithium flex grease, you would be surprised how well the 2 mixes together, plus I can make the oil as thick or thin as needed.

Have you tried porting that header? I noticed a slight increase in power after porting mine.
