there are two grub screws on the transmission, one is slanted, that one changes the shift point. the other one holds it in. i just flip the car, make sure the brakes are on the left, and turn the bottom one. turn the one that changes the shift point in, like tighten it. to make it stay in first gear. then tune your car. put the hsn at 2 1/2 turns out, then the lsn put at flush with the collar, those are stock so tune from there. then after its tuned good, then you can loosen the grub screw on the tranny little by little till it shifts at high rpms. do you know how to tune?

Please help...i just got my Tornado S-30 a few days ago...been having a hard time starting it for break-in procedure...now i notice my idle screw is gone....been looking for a part # and can't find one anywhere....really don't wanna wait several weeks for Redcat to send one out...is there anything compatible that maybe my lhs would carry...i called a couple places and they keep tellin me nothing fits the SH.18 but more SH.18 parts...am i totally screwed here?....also been reading the Tornado thread alot and noticing the cluthbell and spring upgrade but i think my set-up is all metal (did the magnet trick) so is that still necessary?

Go to a hardware store. The screw should either be 3-5 mm and about a 1/4 inch long. Take the motor out and bring it with you to test fit.

check your drive cups. They might be worn causing alotof play in the dog bones.

The cups from the HPI MT2 also use 5mm shafts same as Redcat, so you can fit those and use the thicker MT2 dogbones too. Eminentguitar has done it, so send him a PM for details.

I just got my Tornado S-30 today and I am EXTREMELY impressed by the quality of the product

My only thing is that when I opened the package and did a preliminary inspection of the contents, I noticed that the transmitter was rattling alot. As soon as I opened the battery box at the base of the transmitter, a small piece of plastic fell out, and the unit still rattles Other than that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of the car or anything else that came with it.

My friends Tornado BB hasn't been run for about 6 months and when we tried to start it today it wouldn't start. It wasn't getting fuel so we replaced the fuel lines but it still won't get fuel. Also, when we turn it upside down fuel comes out of the fuel tank at the lid. What do you guys think is wrong?

That's what I thought, will I have to buy a new tank or is there a way to repair this?
