Here are some pics of my tornado xp's:

1. upgrade your 2 speed clutch bell to: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001135084&I=LXCLR2&P=K + http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001135084&I=LXDHM0&P=K + http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001135084&I=LXCLR9&P=K
you may need to widdle away a little of the upper plate post so the gears clear it

2. if you want more low end touque use this clutch bell: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001135084&I=LXM730&P=K you will loose top end speed with this but have much low end take off

3. upgrade your single speed clutch bell to: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/servlet/Detail?no=200 or this place: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLST9&P=7

4. upgrade to this clutch spring traxxas 4146x : http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=4146x&FVPROFIL=++&search3=Go

they are both the same, just you get 2 sets of springs with the 886, firm and regular, this is for different stall rates (higher rpm engagement of the clutches)

you always wanna change the clutch spring to the traxxas one. and the clutch bell needs to be changed to the hpi one. if you dont change them, your gears will strip. change them before you run your car for the first time, it will save you alot of trouble. the links are up above. hope this helps you.

So ehroof, you tried the lower gearing clutchbell, and it worked. Sound like good news or me.

ehroof, I saw that it went from like 17t to 13t. My question is, should I keep my 2.8 in tires or go down to a smaller 2.2 in with the shorter gearing???

Thanks

i would get both, the 17/22 is good for top end (and the smaller tires), the 13/18 is good for low end torque and the bigger tires. i put 2.2 rims with smaller tires back on as you can see in the pictures above (green one).

I bought an aluminum upper plate for the tornado bb but I cannot figure out where the battery holder and battery pack go. Also there is a bar that came with the kit that i cannot figure out where to place it.

make sure your head bolts are tight and the glow plug is tight too. you can get a piston and sleeve from someone, i think top speed toys used to sell the engine parts for it, you can check his site, if not do a google of infinity .18 engine parts or piston and sleeve

There is a rebuild kit, that we have, or I'm sure Clermont has a rebuild kit.
