I think its internal its in the back of the engine. Sometimes I get a dead pull. I found a single speed direct drive transmission.

if its internal it can be the fuel your using making it slip, the traxxas top fuel seems to make the internal one ways loose grip.

ah that makes sense. There was alot of oil under the pull starter. What do you think about the tsunami wide track?

use odonells or byrons if you can get it, trinity monster horsepower or nitrotane, in that order. i dont have one but they look good, lol.

all we have here is powermaster fuel. I think i might try to get the ultrawide parts to convert mine

i think they (redcat) is going to sell or is selling a ultrawide conversion kit for the regular tsunami, wait a day or two so nick can chime in and give some information.

Something every one should do is run, after run oil.............its just what it implies..........after you get through running for any time or stop to rest you should pull your glow plug put in 2 or 3 drops of oil and bottom out your piston so it doesn't cool off at the top of the stroke. I usually just stick the glow plug right back in, but some wait till they run again. I have a volcano and an X-cellerator that I use to let people try here at the shop and both of them have 10 or 15 gallons through them and still going

Huh Iv never heard of it. I really doesnt make any sence to my why you would have to do that but ill get some and start. any other (engine) pointers that I should know abput to make mine run for longer?

The reason you need after run oil is because of rust. Nitro fuel takes on moisture very quickly and if you have any access nitro in the engine everything will rust and ruin the engine. This is a must if you let the truck sit for more than just a few days without running. I use Sidewinder fuels which have a moisture inhibitor already added so no use for after run oil but it is messy. You can also use wd40. Just a few squirts into teh carb and turn the engine over and it will be good till next run. Some take the plug out, set piston at bdc and put a few squirts into plug hole.

an that makes way more sense now thanks. so really anything that repels water should work but i have lots of wd40. Ill do that right now i havent ran it for a week or so

Anything that repels moisture is better than nothing. Just a good squirt or 2 then pull the pullstart a few times and make sure piston is at the bottom when done.

I was reading about the tsunami and it always says that the shocks are adjustible how do you adjust them?

there are plastic shock clips that you place on top of the shock springs that let you adjust the amount of dampening the shock springs do.

oh i thought they were talking about the shock itself. I think the springs are plenty stiff enough the way it is. So what do you do to break an engine in?

i do 5 tanks, 1 idle tank, next a 1/4 throttle tank in a figure 8 pattern, throttle on in the straigt and off on the circle, not on the throttle for more than 3 seconds, 3rd tank would be another 1/4, 4th would be 1/2 and fifth 3/4. after that easy running for a few tanks. Make sure you let the engine cool between tanks and make sure the piston is on the bottom of the stroke.

Ok thanks i did the same think with my tsunami but i didnt idle the first tank. How high do you jump your tsunami?
