I put the HPI 13/18 CB in yesterday. I think I notice a difference on take off but Im not sure. I think I may change the clutch springs to 1.0 and see if that helps at all.

Is there not just a regular solid bellcrank that can be used?

Well got the r/c's out yesterday, ran the piss out of the nami, till it took one too many cartwheels across the yard and I finally broke a rear hub carrier. That's the first one I've ever broke. So, I'll probably go ahead and put the aluminum one on this next go around. Anyway, just thought I'd drop a line. Did anyone else do any running this weekend?

i did not ran the Tsunami this week end but i did ran my Losi Aftershock a bit..

The Tsunami was under anestesia for a couple of week...
Disasembled everything, cleaned up all parts and reassembled everything changing a few part...
I gave the Tsunami to my 7yo son so he can follow me when i go bashing.

I will test it out and tune it a bit this week to be sure my kid will be able to run (at least till he smash it) when i got out with the Aftershock. He just cant wait to drive the thing arround.... he cant stop talking about it.

I decided that, when he break something, he has to help me fix it otherwize, the Tsunami will go back in sleep mode...
He have to take care of it (at least, help me) so he understand that if you run it like a moron, you'll have hours of repair to de prior to use it again... a question responsability... Obviously, he wont be able to fix anything but he have to know the workload of this Hobby cuz i'm planning on getting a ''real'' truck for him shorthly but i want to be sure he will use it properly, and most importantly, take care of those expensive toys.

Might go with the new Traxxas Slayer or another Aftershock for him.... not sure yet...

As far as the Tsunami goes, its now in top shape... cant wait to start it and show my kid what this hobby is all about.

Happy bashing guys.

I had the nami out for about 4 or 5 tanks on Saturday with my son. It was running great till my exhaust hanger broke and one of the header screws vibrated loose. Other then that it was doing great. I cant wait for it to warm up. Ive had enough of winter.

I hear ya, I also had my hyper 7 out yesterday, it needs some tuning done, and it was just too cold outside and I didn't want to spend my time outside tuning, so I put it up and concentrated on the nami. I have that little stock vx screaming, of course I've leaned it out quite a bit, but I'll run it till it blows....lol.....

it might take awhile for the engin to blow... in the first weeks i had it, i ran it soooo hot the plastic exhaust melded down ...
those little VX18 are so tuff. I'm under the impression that the Mach26SS in my Aftershock would'nt make it that hot.

I did the same thing with my cvrx 18 when I did my first winter bashing I just tuned it to run at a good temp, you cant do that in the winter without something covering the heat sink. and I totally melted that plastic pipe right off and holy crap was it loud lol. I ran my sh 18 for a whole tank of fuel with no air cleaner on and I was running in really dusty dirt and that thing is still running strong.

Man tell me about it. I'm so sick of it being pretty outside all week when I'm at work, then it's rainy and crappy all weekend long. And as usual, we're looking to have a repeat of the exact same thing this week! Uhhhhh I'm getting so ill..........

Well the forecasters were actually right for a change. Almost a foot of snow on the ground already and its still coming down. I got the hellfire out in it for a while but its too powdery and soft for the nami.

Dang eminent that sucks. You outta pack your sh*# and head down here to the south. Our winters are barely 3 months long, and even then we still get some descent running days here and there. Of course we also get crappy weather for weeks at a time....lol....but still, it's been like 80F here for the last couple days. Today it's gotten into the lower 60s but I can't complain anymore....winter is pretty much over for us.....I hope....lol....

i was hoping the snow would be gone pretty quick, but it just dumped another 6-8 inches on us. I don't mind running in the snow, but it's not as fun because i can pretty much only drive in the streets.

The botom end is not very good but the high end is almost imposable to controle. Were running the badlands tires on it and its still to fast. I have some vids ill put up here as soon as I can.

ok well depending on the condition of your engine you might want to consider replacing it with something better. You can change the clutch bell to the HPI 13/16 one which will give up a little top speed from stock but will improve the bottom end dramatically. Along with the new engine I would get a good tuned pipe.
