Status: offline 		Well no pics but ill just explain it as best as i can.

You have to grab the ends as hard as you can and pull. lol kidding


things you need - a barrel or roll pin kit with assorted sizes usually from any hardware store. (the little pins that are hallow and have a cut along the length of them)
-SILVER solder NOT LEAD OR TIN!!!!! silver solder is very strong and sticks to BARE steal very well.
You have to cut the dogbone in half and remove as much length as you need. If you have to make them 6mm shorter take 3mm off of each piece.(If you want them longer dont remove anything)
Find a barrel pin that you can barely force over the shaft of the dog bone. The tighter it is the better, it helps keep them straight.
Now you have to remove all of the black coating off of the pin and dog bones(even the inside of the pin, not fun i'm going to let you guys find a good way to do that because I still have trouble lol) I use 220 grit sand paper.
Force the dogbone halfs into the barrel pin(you may need a hammer just dont bend them) make sure you dont go to far its hard to get them out of the pin trust mel after you get the bone in the pin make sure the length is what you need by installing the bone back into the car or truck and making sure you still have play between the ends of the dog bone and you cups.
If everything looks good now your ready to solder them up. I welded mine with a MIG welder. I dont recommend it as it is really easy to warp them.

I would give you instructions on how to solder them but there are many types of silver solder some have flux and some dont. Just make sure if you get solder that does not have a flux core you have to buy the right flux for that solder.

You will need a propane torch for silver solder.

I hope this helps you guys out. I have had many challenges building this hotrod tsunami of mine
its got parts from just about anything you can think of on it.

Status: offline 		If you want a stronger dogbone dont weld them, use the solder(this is hardened steal and heat affects its strength). You can also use the barrel pins to cover the entire dogbone just make sure you have enough clearance for it

Status: offline 		so, i visit this forum on my phone for the most part, making it hard to search for things in a large thread: so im sorry if this has been posted\answerd already.....i have an AMAX model cheetah, which i was told is basically a redcat tsunami regulalr...i got it used, already broken in, and when i got it, i got it to run, but very rich, and it wouldnt stay still on idle, it would wanna drive off...so i tried to adjust her, i know where the high speed needle, low speed needle, and idlele set are...i adjusted them according to a thread on here; high speed-4 turns out or so, low speed-the screw head flesh with the casing its in, but my idle set screw doesnt seem to o anywhere when i turn it, i can turn it infinately in either direction with out it going in or out or changing anything...now, even when primed, glow starter charged and on, i cant get it to start...? any suggestions?

Status: offline 		4 out is too rich on the high needle, try starting it off the ground, if its starts and stalls when you put it on the ground, the clutch spring is broken and needs to be replaced

Take the air filter off and look inside the carb. As you turn the idle screw does the gap get larger?
And I agree with ehoof, its sounds like the clutch spring is broken. You can bend a new end on it if it is.

i will take some with the body off, its got the os cvrx .18, titanium turnbuckles, aluminum shocks, cvd's and some other stuff, lol
