That will work. Preaty much any HPI clutch bell will fit. Also you should know that the lower you go with teath on teh clutch bell the faster your take off will be but your top end speed will be less, basically the car will top out faster. The higher the teeth the more top speed you have but the slower the car will take off.

It'll go preaty darn fast, since the buggy is light weight and it halls butt stock. It's going to go faster persay, but with the 13 tooth it's gonna kick up some dirt taking off, but it will top out faster so your top speed will be lower, but your bottom take off speed will be considerably higher.

call redcat bro, if its brand new and you just put the battery in it, then there must be a problem.

if it was plugged in the wrong way the reciever was probably fried.

To tell you the truth the traxxas receiver and radio would be better anyways. If teh servos are twitching they still may be good. Its the receiver that will get most of the damage. Use the traxxas stuff and you just may be all good.

you can use a 27mhz reciever and put the same crystal in it to match the transmitters crystal.

Crystals are the freak that directs the signal down the band............like if your on the 27 hrtz band the crystal (freak) would be 27.145 the freak or crystal being the 145 on the 27 hrtz band...........and if that don't explain it then ask someone young.............lol

the crystal is what tells the antenna what frequency to send from the transmitter and for the reciever to recieve this way you wont mix with other frequencies, they need to be matched in order to work with each other. they are little silver chips with 2 prongs on them: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGUS4**&P=ML
