Thanks Abu!!
Here are some more progress pic's. I covered the seat back and made the cushion. The seat back still needs to be doped. As this will change the color a bit which will give it a little more contrast from the cushion. I might even wet it down with some tea first to give it a little color. The full scale were covered in either natural linen or lozenge fabric. I have to paint my lozenge on this plane so I think it would have been a little difficult to paint the seat in a lozenge pattern. Next will be the baffle behind the seat. That I will paint in the lozenge pattern using Mylar patterns. I'm waiting for GTM to send me the printed patterns in 1/2 scale before I can do this.

Hey Tom,
Like you say....keep it going! The seat looks great, of course, and quite comfortable!! Wish my fat rear would fit in it!! Hope you get a result on that fine engine you are selling.
Have a good Thanksgiving and best to Beth and boys.

Jack

Hey guys, these are great looking planes. Where do you get the 1/2 scale machine guns? Can you show us some detail on the guns?
Thanks, Steve

This is a case where AZM probably is a useful provider. I get the impression that their service is better on larger scale special items.

Hi Guys
Thankyou to all who posted. Yes it was a great win for WW-1 !!!!! Glenn, Micheal, and I worked our asses off to finish the airplane on time. Right up to static, I was even weathering the plane on the static table before judging! The whole group had a ball. Richard F. Doug P. Randy, Bob A. Jack F. Glenn T. Micheal T. and myself. Plus all the others who stoped by our tents for Manhatans! Top Gun was a great time. I will post pictures in the future. Right now I still can't believe we did it. A long time coming for the GTM Team!
Thanks again,
Tom

TK, I am wondering if you guys could post some good pics of this DVII? I especially want to see the radiator. If need be, maybe another thread.

Hi Guys
Thought I'd post some pictures of my W.H. Stinson Reliant SR-8 that I built thru the summer. 5.8 Brission 46 lbs. Flys beautiful.
Next I will be starting a new build thread on a GTM Fokker D-7 I'm hoping to start that in November some time. Depending when Glenn gets me the Kit. There will be Scale modifications added such as cup and ball on struts and landing gear. Plus all scale gun mounts and such. It will carry a Factory Fresh OAW 4 color lozenge color scheme.

In Reply to you all.
Thanks on the stinson.
The Fokker D-8 is just put on the back burner. I have decided that I would like to have a few new nice airplanes to have fun with before I get back on that project. I'm very excited about the GTM D-7 project, can't wait to start it.
Thanks for the interest.

Well, I finally got to meet Tom and his D-8 project. WOW!!! What a beautiful plane. I sure would like to see it completed.
Tom, It was a great pleasure to finally meet you. I would like to have spent more time there too. Maybe clearing out a little workshop space will get that D-8 project going again.
At least I helped by picking up that 1/3rd scale D-8 I purchased from you 3 years ago. You will have a nice care package in the mail to add to your museum soon, as payment for past storage fees.
Very impressive 1/2 scale DR-1 project you have going also. I might have to get one of those short kits you are making...
You definatly are the Fokker Guy...No offense Vertical Grimmace.
Do you have a pilot for the small (1/3 scale) D-8 laying around?

Talk to you soon Tom...

Hey Rebel!
Good to finally meet you also. I enjoyed your visit to my shop very much. How's the belly holding up?
Just to let you guys know Kirk ate a whole NewEngland seafood platter! It was a lot of seafood too! I think he enjoyed it! Your welcome any time my friend.
I guess the three years was worth it hey!
GTM has great pilots, sorry I have no extra's
