I just installed one and was concerned, like you, about drilling a hole in my engine. It was actually quite simple. Buy a drill and tap set of the correct size as stated in the directions. Remove the back plate. Drill the hole in the center of the back plate, tap it, then put the nipple in. I filed of any of the nipple sticking inside the engine just to make sure it did not rub against any engine parts. I also used high temp gasket material to make sure there was no pressure leak around the threads. Replace the back plate on the engine and your ready to go. Kent
