The Riot:
1/10 scale
.18 motor
2wd
Stadium truck

The Havoc:
1/8 scale
.28 motor
2wd
Stunt truck

The new Schumacher Riot is more than just a 1/10 scale, 2wd .18 powered stadium truck. The Riot uses 1/8 scale tires and wheels. This not only gives it a unique look, but the taller diameter tires create a larger contact patch for greater traction. The taller profile also allows this truck to climb and creep over obstacles that might not have been previously possible with a 1/10 scale 2wd stadium truck.

The Riot comes as a single speed, but the famous Schumacher 3-speed is an easy upgrade for even more fun!

Many of the Riot parts are shared with the Rascal. The Riot makes an easy and convenient addition to the Rascal. Many of your spare parts will work on either truck. That is convenient! Pre-orders are being taken for the first shipment due in early April.

I am also waiting to add a Riot to my collection. No one has used tall 1/8 tires on a production 1/10 scale truck. The look is unique and attractive, but it is also functional.

I think this truck has the possibility to out sell the Menace.21. It will definately be a fun one to drive. Rob I am sure the guys in FL. at Schumacher are going to send you one to toy with. Please maybe shoot us some footage if you get one.

Interesting.
The big 1/8 tires were throwing me off.
So its mainly an ST w/ BIG wheels.
Cool idea.
Thanks for the info.

Benny, it should be a "Riot" to drive.

Groundman, it will outsell the Menace in not much time. It sells for half the price

It looks a little truggy like, is that sorta the market this one is going for or am I way off?
I am really liking the simplicity of a 2wd these days. Less stuff to go wrong, and Schumacher seems to be one of the few nitro makers that are putting out some stuff that goes fast in 2wd.
The price is nice too.
You got a link to the 3 spd?

It is the same 3-speed as the Menace and Fusion. We have all of the 3-speed parts already, but I am sure that Schumacher will have a complete package for the 3-speed conversion. They have not released the final parts list or prices as of yet. I will let you know any info as soon as it is available. Since it shares many parts with the Rascal, we almost have the full inventory of parts already.

I dont think they were going for the "Truggy" look,(it does look cool though) they learned that the taller tires gave the truck more traction (contact patch) and the ability to climb obstacles that standard 2.2 tires can not tackle.

With the 1/10 chassis, they have the room for a true tuned pipe on the .18,(compared with the 1/18 Rascal) I cant wait to run one..............

How will the riot compare preformance-wise to to the losi and associated 1/10 stadium rtr's?

Are the rtr electronics worth what im paying for them, are they of high quality components or should I get other electronics on my own time?

The Riot should fair well compared with the GT and Losi. The big difference is the 1/8 scale tires that will climb where the others cannot and has a larger contact patch for greater traction.

As for radios, the Airtonics radio that comes with the Schumacher RTR kits is nicer than the radio that comes with Associated RTR`s and comparable to the Losi`s JR radio system. All these RTR`s come with AM radios. If you want something of higher quality, programmable and FM, then we suggest the Airtronics MX3 radio system that we offer. This way you can purchase the Almost-ready-to-run Riot and add the FM Airtronics MX3 radio for a total cost of only $50 more. (We offer the MX3 at a discount with the purchase of the ARTR kit)

Check this out: http://www.schumacher-rc.com/index.php/cPath/59_88

Soon we will have the FM combo listed for the Riot. This link is to the FM combo for the Rascal, this is the same package we will offer for the Riot: http://www.schumacher-rc.com/product_info.php/cPath/59_27/products_id/304

I cant wait to get my hands on one of these!

So with the MX3 radio the total cost of the artr riot and radio will be 309.99? Or 379?

They should arrive the first week of May. The prices are on our website.

Just FYI, we are still in the process of building our new store. Construction never goes on time and we are behind several weeks. Hopefully we will be able to move into the new building next week and should be around the phone and this forum more often.
