Thanks for the post! I know that there is always a new way to do something. What is the best way to lay your glassed work in order so the cloth doesn't rise on you??? Who knows!
Terry,
I'll be happy to post some pictures for you. I'm simply threading a rod through the middle with a pull-pull system on it. I'll let you know...
Okay well, I had to go out of town this weekend, but as of last night and after church today, I was able to sand the elevators/rudder/trim tabs and put the first coat of primer on. I'll have to say, I'm really happy with the turn out so far. Just a little sanding in some areas with a little putty back up and I think we will be ready to detail and mount!
Actually the method I like to use is medium CA on the ribs and then spray your insta-set on the sheeting and lay it down. Very fast and strong bond. Thanks for the post!
So after a lot of thought, this is what I came up with for my intercooler doors. I don't even want to get into all the "stuff" I had to do to get them to work! However, they work great and actually look really scale according to my documentation. I took 3 evenings to figure this one out, but I'm happy with the outcome. I think I took the precautions so I won't have them rattle apart on me with the vibration. I'm going to finish this up and glue the tail on!

Hey PJ, The Jug looks awesome. I was hoping to meet you at the WRAM show but my wife informed me we have a wedding to go to. I am not a wedding person but this year we have 12 to go to finishing up with my oldest daughter on Oct. 12. I'm planning on making the trip to WOD this year, hope to see you then. Good luck with the Jug. Fred
