P.J., Are you going to have the cowl flaps move? I've been trying to devise a slim-jim type of articulation for that, like a slider in a gift card....there has got to be another simpler method.

Yes, I do have a design that will work much easier. I'll try to post pictures on here as soon as possible.

Hey PJ....How's that KY weather these days? Your Meister is lookin' real good...congrat's on your efforts. My TF Jug is still in recovery after meeting with a sudden gust of gravity up in Ocala late last summer.....flyin' with Dougs B17 and the rest of the little friends in a gaggle. I too am working under the same Pro/Am deadline....My entry fee is already paid up with Frank, so if all goes well in the workshop...I'll see you at TG.
Jim

Hey Jim,

It's great to hear from you. As far as the weather.....well lets just say, I miss FL!!! Now that I have a lot of the little stuff done, I can spend more time building. I'm going to come up on a problem. How do you paint a plane outside when it is 20-30! If anyone in the area has a paint booth, it would be great!

Look forward to seeing you at Top Gun Jim!!!

PJ, Jim and any other TG 2007 pilots.... Just keep in mind that any entry that has been invited and which you accept that does not show up for Top Gun will not be invited back for a minimum of 2 years! So not finishing a model is no excuse. To Jim and PJ, you better kick it into high gear! I hope that was inspiration enough.

Oh...I know! He did make that point last year while addressing the gathering...he is about as sucinct as one can be on these issues, and he sure didn't leave anything unclear regarding suspending no-shows. I'll definately be there again as usual....but hopefully with the Jug.
I'd just hate to appear for the third time with the Cub, even though it is allowed for 3 years.... especially considering the typical X winds at Lakeland.
Although, this years venue is different...and maybe the wind Gods will be kind to us for a change.

The JUg is looking great.
Yes, Airworld-USA expects delivery soon of the new 150 radial. I have the 250 in my Seafury.

Dont want to piss of Frankie. If you no show, he will not invite you back for six years, if ever.

Just so everyone knows. I don't plan on pissing Frank off. Brian thanks for the post! Is the plane on your picture the one I've seen at Top Gun?

Looking out the window, all I saw was snow. So far 4 inches. It could be worse.......I could be stuck in an airport. So. ....I've got the elevators and rudder detailed. Sorry the pictures didn't take too well, but you should be able to see panel lines and flush rivets. I mounted the servos again and hooked all that stuff up. I put the "inner" door on the intercooler doors as well. I need to soak and clean the fuse. in order to mount the tail. Will do most of that jazz tomorrow.

Okay, Okay, I need to put a disclamer in this thing. After tons of calls and emails regarding those "UGLY" control horns. I'M ONLY PUTTING THEM ON FOR THE TEST FLIGHT! Its fast and easy. Once the plane has the test flight out of the way, I will re-do them. I'm just on a real time crunch and I need to limit my scale stuff until after the test flight. So Dino and Ronnie, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

This weekend, I'm working on finishing the wings, install engine and going to fly it by the 15th.....

Sure do bud!

Okay, well I have another cold and didn't think I would get to do anything, but I was able to cut the gear out, cut for panel lines and set the plane on its gear for the first time. I've started the sanding the wings and I hope to be able to start glassing Sunday night.
