ah there it is 4wheels...you were just blasting someone on a different post about how they think there brand is the real deal...and that they weren't being unbiased...well in rc you do get what you pay for....they mantis may be great for you but it sitll is a new rig and someone else without 1/8 scale knowledge may struggle with it ...you said in another post that the mantis was real good with a little setup,,,,not everyone can get setup spot on the first couple of tries and that can frustrate them....trust me i know i was a hellfire owner, loved it but it was a bear to setup and maintain for a race to race basis, felt like i was always changing things to get it close to the last good weekend, ttr st-1 love it, still have one for short tight tracks, not much to setup and change, diff fluids, shock fluids and a few shock and steering mods, lsp pro had 3 of them, great platform, takes a little time to get it right but man it loves to fly, jammin raced against them real fast, good jumpers and a little awkward on tight tracks, kyosho rtr not real impressed for durability but nimble out of the box, str version is tough to beat very solid overall....but my main point is that a cheap platform may be a great way to get in to class, but you will pay just as much or more in replacement parts by going with a lower price version....there is a reason why traxxas doesn't have a truggy or buggy out yet, good plastic is what makes a reliable rig, and so far the only overpriced truggy out there was the hellfire, it will go down as the biggest moneypit ever.. so don't order one off of one loyal guys opinion..check all of the pinned sections for each brand and read all of their issues, also check truggyracers.com if there was a truggy built ever it is on that forum, not to bash this thread but this site can get biased and turn into a pissing match....
