Status: offline 		Chemical properties? Physical properties? Mechanical or electrical characteristics? Appearence? If you want something that's exactly like copper as an element you really don't have much choice.

Status: offline 		Do a Google search for the Periodic table of the elements. You'll find that elements in a series (vertical columns) have similar properties; copper (Cu), silver(Ag), and gold (Au) are in the same series. Elements adjacent to each other in a period (horizontal rows) may exhibit similar properties but the difference grows rapidly with separation in the period. Nickel (Ni) is to the left of copper, and zinc(Zn) is to the right.

The similarities and differences are due in large part to electron arrangement.

Gold and silver have the same number of valence electrons in the f orbital as copper.
