Well, I have built this DELTA WING by Laddie Mikulasko quite a few times.

This version has been bumped up from the original version of 36.5" WS to the now 60 inches.

here is a shot of the plans for the RIBS being printed out now. I'll try to document this build as it goes along.

Well, so what else is new. I forgot that I can't use the SAFARI browser to upload files here at RCU.

Try uploading them to photobucket, then linking the image here.

Here is a tease for you. I've modified the fixed rudders and made the tips from the rudder placement - detachable.

The canopy seems incredibly LARGE, so I'm dickering with the idea splitting it in three pieces.

I'll need the aft section to be accessable --(fuel area) keep the center glued down and the fron accessible to the servos.

--For some reason, the canopy looked a little lop sided so I'm remaking it.

I figure that it's far too easy to just "let it go" -- Hell, this is a HOBBY -- Do it right!

Wow nice

Is that a strobe light at the top of the rudder fin ? Oh and what is the engine you plan to use ? Will a .90 be enough ? I had a friend with a http://www.btemodels.com/vortex.html (54'' ws), along with an unbaffled OS.91Fx / retracts. Flight was OK.

Regarding the canopy, you mean you would have three small of them instead of one ? Why wouldn't you run a fully enclosed full length tuned pipe if you have so much space ? WIth exhaust on the belly, that would make a nice clean installation...

GREAT IDEA about the pipe

I am still waiting for a 1" offset and a tuned pipe from MORRIS HOBBIES

My ROSSI .61 is bored out to a .81cc ad was last used for a BYRON FAN setup

I bought a glass 3 blade PUSHER PROP 14/7 a couple of weeks ago. That'll do to help me get this thing toollin' around the runway. I think I want go with a wooden replaceable blade setup from ZINGER. At hi speeds, that glass prop just might explode.

The light bulb you saw wasn't a strobe but a 12V HALOGEN bulb. One on top of both rudders. The plugin I made is pretty generic and it wants to fall out at the drop of a hat. Look like I'll have to drop some adhesive on it at permanent plugin time.

It is SO-o-o-o-o- BRIGHT, youu can see the damn thing at ANY distance -- day or nite!

I've hooked up a micro switch on top of the servo with velcro to turn on/off -- I want to use as a LANDING LITE setup.

Darn, I still like that idea of putting the pipe in the middle of the bay and out the bottom.

Some years ago, I had the same plane (36"WS) Of course all the exhast goes out all over the one side of the plane. I took the muffler off and installed a couple of hoses going right down thru the body oif the plane -- exiting straight down onto the ground. Worked like a charm.

I started to do the actual MONOKOTE to the (I'm calling it the FORCE 1-60) acual body last night. Started with the inside of the prop cutout. Really time consuming stuff down there.

more later

Well, not knowing the exact layout of Paris, --- The HALOGEN light I am using is a 12V 20W. It cost me $6 Cdn at a local RADIO SHACK

My guess is that if I wer over there with you, I'd be looking up an electronics store that carries "parts"

Bon Chance

I'll look for a 20W 12V halogen light bulb then.

Thanks
