Hi all, i want to buy rc nitro buggy 1/10 scale and i have seen that model on the net.

1) Is it good as tamiya and other major brand?

2) Is it well built and crash resistant as tamiya?

3) What is the major problem with this buggy?

4) Is it possible to have closer pictures of the engine, suspension, brakes and other major parts

5) Does it have wheel brakes or one engine brake?

6) Does shock built with plastic or aluminium?

7) Is it real that the 2 speeds transmission is pieces of crap?

thanks a lot for your help because its my first nitro buggy and i your input will be very appreciate!!!

just upgrade the clutch bell and the clutch spring and you will be fine. they are a great rc, especially for the money. check this out: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5342050/tm.htm

really nice buggy, lots of upgraded avalible.
clutch bell upgrade is a must. very durible, ive wrecked mine enough to know.
only real cheap parts are the servos. mine is alot easier to drive since i replaced my steering servo.

i like it, its really fast, and has a ton of power. its cool. upgrade the clutch bell and clutch spring like they said, thats really it. the pipe is pretty cheap, but it works, but if you wanted to you could get the traxxas header and aluminum pipe and it goes even faster. i have them both. they have aluminum shock towers so they are pretty durable, but the towers can bend like any aluminum part, but its a pretty strong fast car. its prolly not as high quality a car as a tamiya or traxxas or other brands like those, but for the money, its about 8x better than those cars. you can prolly beat those cars in a race if tuned right and broken in right, the pipe and header would help. i recommend it. i haven't even tuned mine yet, but its fast! i say get one. their good.

im saying this thing is fast so you could prolly beat alot of other cars out there. i htink they can go around 50mph if tuned right and all. they are fast cars. they're good bashers as well. you will need an upgraded clutch bell and spring though, like we had allready siad. i dont think we can really get more specific. its good to look into it, but we've told you what we think. The only other thing i can think of is that the radio system isn't so good, but i like it, it works well enough, but for the price what could you possibly expect. heres some pics of mine.

[image][/image]

so i really dont know if we can tell you anymore. like i said before its prolly not as good a car as a tamiya or traxxas, in terms of quality, but its much better than those cars for the money. so there ya go, cant tell you much more.

for your 1st buggy its gonna be great. its all you need, if your gonna race at a track or somthing get an 1/8th scale hurricane. but if you want to learn like i am this will be perfect. since it your 1st nitro youll run into a few curbs, trees, poles, baseball field bases are real bad to hit but it will hold up great.

to be blunt would you rether break apart a 150 dollar car or a 300+dollar car, cause if your gonna have fun your gonna break stuff. and stuff for these are cheap, real cheap. check out clearmont or allboutfun. $3 for this $5 for that. compare that to the other buggys.

just get one youll love it.

my old nitro rustler was not quite as durable, not nearly as good as these. also its parts were expensive. for a regualr plastic shock tower was $10, but for these it like $3.50 for an aluminum one! its great. they are great beginer cars cause they're so cheap to buy and repair. but they are really fast, so if your really new, then be careful.

Can you give me difference between:

1) Tornado xl
2) Tornado xp
3) Tornado BB
4) Tornado BB pro

I think tornado bb pro is about the same as bb unless the motor and some aluminium hop-up.

Can you help me?

thanks

Thanks but i already seen that chart and all appear to be the same. If i read correctly, the only difference between xp and bb is the differential. I dont think so because the parts number about suspension parts are different on these two model on redcat website.

Can someone can give the differences please?

Thanks

really the chart is gonna help ya out the most. the xl is only a .16 and a 1 speed. the xp and the bb are basically the same except for the differental type like you had allready said.they are both .18 engines with a 2 speed trans. the bb pro has the better faster motor and the aluminum shocks, but for $90 more than the bb, i personally dont think its worth it. the bb is great, i have one. thats really the only differences, thats all i can say. hope this helps
