Well, my 601AD do not discharge up to max 2A, can only max at 0.9A. the pc monitoring software did not work even the software were installed properly and hardware can detect well. i ask the seller to check the rest of his stock, if any can work, i would like to exchange, he come back and said i can get full refund. obviously his stock all not work properly. On my charger the max discharge for Lipos is 1A. For Ni cads it is 1.5A. Have you felt how hot the unit gets when discharging? I think the reason for the reduced discharge rates is to keep the unit from overheating. I haven't tried PB or NiMH battery types yet. As far as the pc monitoring software I had no problems. It works great. The way I installed it was: 1) Installed software on laptop. 2) pluged charger into laptop (charger power was off) 3) Laptop saw new hardware. Installed drivers in folder from step #1 4) Started monitoring software then plugged in charger and started charging battery. Software worked as advertised. I am not too concerned about the less than advertised discharge rate. I spend most of my time charging.
