Bill will be missed. He and I had more than several conversations on here. A dark day for the RC community for sure.

Oh, I feel really bad to hear about Bills passing. He was always a gentleman, even when I am wrong and stubborn. I haven't been reading this because frankly I have been feeling somewhat guilty about not sending in any money. I intended to, but have been real busy since my car's engine blew up. Turns out it is a cracked block. Also busy at work and heading to Ireland next week. Keep saying to myself I need to go to paypal and see if my old password still works.

Should I send something for the family?

My deepest condolences to Bill's family and all who knew him.
My contact with Bill was through htis forum and some excellent advice he
gave me by private E-mail.
I am stunned!
He will be in my prayers.

Contributions are closed at this time, however, if information about where to send a card
or flowers is forthcoming....that info will be posted.

Dear all--

By way of introduction, William Robison was my father. Please let me thank you for your well wishes and your support when he'd had the fire, and your kind words now. I can't come up with the right expression of gratitude for so many people falling in behind him and helping, but you are all in our minds.

Bobby F and I are going to a local meet in the morning, so I expect I'll meet a few more of you. If you are in the area, we are planning a service for him in Fort Walton Beach, FL at McLaughlin's on Chestnut, at 10:30 local on Monday.

Thank you again-- this is a great hobby and a wonderful community, and you have been good friends to him. I am deeply grateful.

Hi --

My brother is kindly allowing me to answer you all, as well.

Thank you for the great kindness you showed my father, and his family, through your thoughts and prayers and words. It is comforting to see that so many others cared about him, and so we aren't alone in this loss.

Bill and Aura,

You are certainly not alone in feeling the loss of your father. He was well known here and he made many, many friends. The one thing you will probably read over and over about him is how much he helped people. I think that all of us are shocked by the loss at the moment, and we all do care. Now, we can speak to both of you and express our condolences almost directly here.

I wish I were able to make the service for him at Ft. Walton Beach on Monday. My thoughts will be with you both, and the rest of your family.

God bless Bills family, he will be missed here on RCU. I felt a little guilty for not sending funds. Will the funds that were donated be returned to the indivisuals.

Not mine, at any rate. I wish for the family to do with it as they will, as a small token of appreciation for the "conversations" I had with Bill on RCU, and for the huge amount I learned from him. May he forever rest in peace.

I am not expecting a refund. I don't know Bill's financial situation nor do I care to know. There are ways to set up funds to help those in the hobby. I think Bill might appreciate that effort. Maybe someone should contact the AMA to see what could be done. I am with the majority opinion here. If the the family is decided that's fine by me. It would be a good jesture to honor him in the hobby.

Rest in peace Bill.

Jim

I think it best to let it go. It was about the gesture after all , not the money....
