Status: offline 		Planned to fly last Sunday at our Frozen Finger Fun Fly but with 30km/hr winds, didnt wanna risk the maiden flight.

I'll be trying again for sure within the next couple weeks.

Status: offline 		Knew I'd find em. These are shots of my Fokker DVII, with the OSLA.25. Approx 43" span. Great combat size, this was before I painted on the wing crosses and markings.

I fly WWII combat myself, but I'm just a beginner, flying Kawasaki Ki-64 with OS .25FX engine. One of the concerns here on the European side is that this is beginning to turn into pylon racing, the planes are almost too fast already.

The ACES Germany has been working on the WWI rules for European combat, and what they are proposing is either .15 -size two-stroke (8x4 or 9x3 prop) or .30 -size four-stroke (10x4 prop). They are also promoting real 'built' planes, not something cut out of foam. For me it would be a shame to destroy such a beautiful plane . Anyway, I have been thinking of building Snoopy's doghouse (read: Sopwith Camel with Snoopy as the pilot) myself for this summer.

The scout was flown this past weekend, and its flys ok. It needs some rudder mixing with the ailerons, but other than that has no nasty habits.

The .25FP turning an APC 10x3 is juat enough power. No real power to spare.

I wont be building another one, and will eventually probably get rid of this one, since after Bloody April, we decided to set bigger minimum wingspans for WW1 birds so we can allow .25FX engines, and at 1/8 scale, this scout is tiny at 37" ws.

The next one I build will be closer to 1/7 or 44" ws as the rules will now dictate. I'm sure it will be a better flyer
