Hey hkbii !

Welcome to RCU!

This is a great group of 1/2a'ers here... I got sucked in too. I bought a Norvel 061 for a glider and well... it never made it to the glider. I have built a handfull, 1/2a planes thanks to the positive influence of this forum.

Do you have an pictures of your plane??

Yes... we need pictures... This stuff is like dirty magazines to us. Talking about it is fun but pictures are where it's at.

Howdie gents. thank you for the kind words. yes I have some pics. I tryed to post with opening but I messed it up some how. I took her to the lake twice but could not get a reliable eng run. I replaste the cox with a os 10.. 7x5 apc. It took about 15ft to lift of then climed out at about a 70deg angle for about 200ft then leveled out to trim her. 4 clicks left ail. 4clicks down. She goes over 80+mph. she tracks like the alatra sport. She flew so nice I had to build an other one. The new one has a 36.5 inch wing. Ok heres some more pic. enjoy.

Howdie. I was wondering if you guys would like to have the templets for the parts put on a seperate sheet, then you can cut them out and trace onto the wood. that way the maine plans stay intact. or would you just copy the maine. more sheets, higher cost . the ups store charges .50 a sq, ft, I have the drawing done now I'm adding some texts. About the only differance from building the plane and drawing the plans is you dont have to wait for the glue to dry. Thank you. hkbii.

Yes I would like to sell some plans and if there is enough intrest I would like to build some jigs and make up some kits. I have built two of them sofar and am having a blast. the next one will have a sport canopy, it will give it a littel more side lift. I'll have it inclueded on the plans. The drawings are done now I'm adding some building tips. I have an other one rattleing around in my head. this on will be for the cox .049. this is the frist time I have drawn plans for anyone to see. I just draw up a rough out line and build from there I am not a pro. but I think you could build from these plans. If interested pm me. Thank you. hkbii.

Looks like a nicely scaled down ultra stick. Flies well on a .10, sounds interesting. Let me know when you get plans made, although I would much rather have them in electronic format.

I found a pic of the ultra stick. Yes they do look a lot alike. I tryed not to look to much like any thing like another plane but I gess form follows function. The frist draft I had it as a low wing then I saw the new pulse xt.so I started over. I guess its getting harder and harder to make some thing that doesnt look like some thing else. I made this for high speed to handle the wind. and it does fly nice in the wind. On the maiden flight of the red and white one I took it out on the lake the wind had blown the snow off so it was smooth ice I dident need the skies. there was a 7to 10 mph wind . as sone as she lifted off the wind about knocked me off my feet. About 35-40mph, she went up about 300 ft and was blown back about a1000ft. I got her pulled out of the loop with about six ft to spare. I got her back to me then landed. I keeped about half throtle and she sat there till I could pick her up. whew!! seconds later the wind lifted , but it was just above the tree tops so I did not go up agin. hkbii
