Status: offline 		That is correct. The new ESC you used also has a BEC built in and if you connect it to the receiver without removing the middle wire on the connector, the +v, you will be supplying the receiver +v from two different sources.

Status: offline 		i'm installing the 240 gyro in my axe. you said the heli starts to spin when batteries get low, can you keep control of your heli long enough to land ? i'm still using nimh batt.'s i know i will have to upgrade, i only get about 4 minutes of flight and i'm only hovering in my garage. live in michigan, will have to wait for better weather. how much longer flights do you get with lipo's?

Status: offline 		Yes, if you are using what Helimax says to use as a ESC and you run the battery's down to 2.7V the ESC cuts power to the motor and starts to spin. There are other ESC that don't do that and i have a link to them. really need to get some liPo battery's. really makes the heli fun to fly now with a gyro

Status: offline 		I would just like too say that being a newbie to the Axe CP, that I have only just begun too start flying this thread and fourm has helped alot. I just installed the speed control and gyro upgrades in my CP. Thamks guys for all the info.

Status: offline 		Yes that gyro will work.. i used what helimax used but i have also started to change different parts out like the ESC .. find one that does not cut out .. makes it a lot safer

Status: offline 		its is a lot easyer to fly ... i think this is the best MOD yet for the AXE CP .. but i`m sure someone will find more to MOD on it soon .. next step is a new radio .. also makes a huge differnce

Status: offline 		It's called tail rotor drift and it's normal. The thrust from the T/R pushes the heli to the left so you need a little right cyclic to counteract it.

Status: offline 		i just installed the 240 gyro and test flew it. The 240 works great, by far the best upgrade you can do for this heli. Tail stays solid, although i am still fine tuning the gain. But as said before with the electrifly brushed esc the tail motor stops once the battery hit the limit voltage. I thought that removing the red wire disconnected the BEC? I test flew with the stock battery, and got about 4 minutes of flight, lipo is a must. Helidirect has some good ones for cheap. But the spinning of the heli is a fatal occurance, in normal flight this would have caused death and destruction. So anyone have any ideas on a better esc that does not cut the motor?

Status: offline 		If you reread the gyro installation on the helimax site it show how to disable the BEC. not sure if that is the problem or not.

i could just be an idiot repeating something tho.

Status: offline 		I believe the speed control senses cut-off voltage from the battery input wires. The BEC just powers the Rx. Some speed controls have programmable cut-offs beyond that there's not much that can be done about it. A li-po should help alot.

Status: offline 		Ok, I've now seen people saying you can use the 401 Gyro's just Plug-n-Play... but I haven't seen any actual instructions or people wanting to share the connections.. Is this true? and can anyone provide docs for us gyro NewBs ? lol
