Status: offline 		I have been flying the 46 with a Saito for about 2 years now. The Saito 82 is about as good as it gets. It's the perfect engine for this plane. I've found that an APC 14x4W prop is the best for it too. Here's some pics......

Status: offline 		I bought a used Ucando 46 from a guy for $20. I was going to use it to break in a new Saito 82, but I like the way it flys so much, I had to go and by another Saito 82 for the warbird I intended putting it in. I run a 12 x 8 but don't fly 3D with it. Just a great sport flying combo for me

Status: offline 		I run an OS .70 4-stroke in mine and it perfroms great. The Saito .82 will be even better.

Status: offline 		theres three of them at my home field and one has a satio 72 and the others use a os 70..an 82 is likely awesome .the one guy was toying with a 90 but decided it would be too much.having a funtana 40 with a magnum 70 I can see an82 as a monster but even the 70 range is vertical!but believe it or not I am not a 3d pilot although I tried it and have ultimately decided its fun to watch on occasion but inthe end I just like aerobatics.ok sometimes aggressive but hey what can I say lol.

Status: offline 		The OS 70 should work great with a 13x4W APC prop. Believe me neither the the OS 70 nor the Saito 72 are not too much engine for this plane. Been flying the 82 in mine for about 2 years and it's the perfect set up for it if you want to do some prop hanging. The 72 flies it great but is a little under powered for hovering. Don't know about the OS 70 but I suspect it's a little too heavy for serious 3D. I'm sure it will fly it though.

Status: offline 		Some questions about installing a Saito 82 in the UCANDO 46.
(1) Is the supplied Tower 40-70 motor mount strong enough for the Saito 82?
(2) How do you tighten the Saito muffler adequately when the cowl is in place?
(3) How long is the flight time using the 82 with the supplied 270cc tank?

I had a U Can DO 46 for a couple of years with a Saito 82 up front turning a APC 14x4W. It was a good combo for me. As for the questions, the Great Planes motor mount that comes with the plane will work fine. If you need a new one I would stick with the Great Planes 40-70 unit. I tightend the mufler using the appropriate size open ended wrench through the opening in the front of the cowl. I made the hole in the front of the cowl large enough to allow for this operation. For the third question I would say I got about 10 minutes. The Saito is a thirsty little engine but after about seven or eight minlutes of wringing out the U Can Do, I was ready for a break. I hope that this helps,
