I know the HPI one stands up to a good beating... but doesn't keep you level and straight if you want to carry it. My Spurrs bar holds wheelies for a football field long... but it'll bend like a twig if I land on it.

Yeah, if you bash at all you have to get the HPI one. If you practice lots, you can usually get pretty good wheelies. Here is a video of me at Page Road bashing the crap out of my savage.

Cleaned my truck the other day with some heavy duty cleaner and rinsed it off. Looks awesome, but when I went to run it after it had a mind of it's own. Despite the dielectric grease, silicone, and clear coat spray for the servos, and my attention not to get the radio box wet, I got water in the throttle servo. Bummer. Oh well, I threw my stock servo back in and I'm ready to go get dirty. As for the wet servo, I'll take it apart later and see whats inside. It's sunny out now, so I'm off to find some dirt.

Had a great time out today. I had my Savy X and my Savy SS.... and a buddy with his X. My SS has been out of service for a few months... performed like a champ until the exhaust spring thing broke off at the front of the exhaust pipe... so it was hanging off. So that one got parked and out came the X. It champ'd for a good long while too... nice flips and lid skids and serious donuts (put a locker in the back end.... WAY fun!!!).... and it went great until one of my forward flips with a bad landing and stripped the spur gear. No biggie... but why fix it when you can pull out the Mini Inferno!!! Ran that one for a while (boring slow and quiet compared to a Savy)... and called it a day.

So 2 minor repairs and I at least have 2 trucks working again. Time to spend more time on the others to make them all fixy and have more fun!!!!

^ hahahah.... nice!!

Got my Savy X too dirty today... brakes are all binding up incl the linkage. Time to take the trans apart anyhow and replace the only plastic gear inside... getting a bit chewed up anyhow.

We all have to get together one day and have a mega-bash-fest!!

Hopefully soon. I wanted to get out there today, but I had to go out for dinner and earlier in the day we were looking for a new place to live. It's gettin too small here in White Rock. (And the closest hobby shop is 30mins away.) We looked at an apartment in Cloverdale today, and we just heard back that we got it. Sweet! I like it there, closer to friends with rc's. Movin May 1st. (bummer deal, moving on thursday.)

Oh ya, hey TheOtherSide, those tires and wheels workin great for my truck.

Don''t think anymore. The savage 4.6 is for you. It''s the Ultimate basher, hands down. And I''m NOT biased. Parts are bountiful, and strong for what they can take, that''s all that matters.
