found a brand new rs4 evo 3 at the LHS for $189, then got $20 off.

I have a nitro sport and jato 3.3, so this thing is something new to me. anyway, anything to expect or mod??

Its gonna be real fun dude. Of course youll get abit of the usual frustrations and dissapointment from nitro cars. Youll run into usual problems/flaws but they can be fixed just gotta research. U should race ur other nitros against it and compare them

First thing you'll notice, is that it sticks to the ground. It wont be that strong with the .15 nitro star, but you can always install a .18CV-RX. And if you put a racing manifold and pipe, it'll be just like the SS version.

GREAT touring car!!!

3 weeks ago, there was a race at the local track. 5 serpents and 1 RS4 3 18SS. Everything stock, except the pipe. After 20 minutes racing, the RS4 came second. 4 serpents were either after it, or out with problems. The driver only had 2 months of driving experience, and it was his first race.

Point is, this car is so well designed, and so simple, that is perfect for a new/mid racer. I wouldn't trade it for ANY touring car.

EDIT

Also the electronics can be removed as easily as removing the 3 pins holding them. (receiver, batteries, servos, wires, EVERYTHING!) Which makes it a 5 minute job cleaning the car you've been driving for a whole day.

I just got back into the hobby and I am just loving my RS4. I also started racing as well and Im pretty much the only HPI out there. I still need a bit of fine tuning getting it around the track but it can definately keep up with all the other cars out there. Tons of fun!
