It's not the ball link. It's the other end that seems to be missing. I've looked in the manual but it doesn't show it.

Hey Medwin, here is a picture of my orig tailwheel setup (can't say its purdy but it works).

I was there last weekend and you are missing the wire that steers from the rudder and the aluminum block that ties it to the tail wheel shaft. Don't know if you can get em or not, ya might go with a different setup from the LHS. If you are gonna make it over to Orlando on Saturday you can get probably anything you want from Graves RC on the way.

Richard

PS You goin' to the Orlando gathering?

Hey Richard, Yes it's the aluminum block that I lost and I can't seem to replicate it. I'm looking for a quick fix.
Not sure about orlando. e-mail directions to me just incase.

Thanks,

I know, I know, search is your friend, but not when the thread has 200+ pages. The noise police came a knocking at my field, and my B60 with side dump muffler is not making the dB cut. If I remember correctly, a DA header with 25mm drop (flex or non-flex) is the correct header to use. I am at sea level, so a pipe setup is not needed. So for those of you using cannisters with your Brillelli GT 366, I'd like to hear what size/make cannisters are being used by the folks out there. Pictures of the installations would also be nice.

Thanks.

Ken

this plane is so "comfortable", i feel confident doing almost anything with it, truly amazing, flew it yesterday alot, loved it, one of my favorite things to do is fly down the rundway slow about 5' or so from the ground, looking like i am going to land, then in front of me or just past me i go up ele and goose the throttle, kind of like a slow motion wall if you will, i can kick the tail under without really gaining much altitude, then i hover it there and even back it down a tad lower, its awesome, gets me going, seems to be a big hit with the spectators too , love this plane

Hi All

I just ordered the 88" yak to go with my DA-50, slimline muffler, and Futaba 12z 2.4 radio! Would like some some tips on the servos and prop for this plane? of course for 3-D! and, any setup and/or CG info would be great!

Thanks

Mike

You need a 5995 on rudder with at least 5985's on all other surfaces. A 22 x 8 is a good prop for a DA on a muffler, but i would recommend a KS tuned pipe as the YAK can take it, throttle response, power and noise are all improved with the T pipe. 7" CG is bang on....7.1/2 is definately too far back!

I'm also interested in the response to LordSirOb's question about the B60 (366gt) and a tuned pipe setup

I would not recommend using a castor tail wheel setup on this plane. Primarily due to the monster vertical stab and rudder, this thing will weather vein on you real quick in very little breeze, making the big prop quite dangerous when taxiing

Weather Vaning is not a problem with the Yak, if you set-up the castor wheel correctly. Remember it has huge elevators as well, they keep the back wheel very well planted, even in twenty mph winds, Wind higher than that,..... well my Excursion will weather vane in those winds!

Buddy of mine has a B60 with stock muffs in his 88" yak, used a menz 22-10 for break in. He tried a Menz 24-8, had plenty of ground clearance. Now uses Vess 23B. Awesome performer!

Hey rennie,
You even touch the little 88" anymore, now that you have the gigando Yak? I was flying my 74"with a B46 in it until my da50 came back from DA. Now thats it back in the plane,I dont know when I'll touch the 74" again!
Then again,I harrier landed for my first time ever. Now Im chicken to try it with the 88"

Cya,
Frank
