What do you guys think for a first flatty?
I'm thinking of a : OMP Fusion X3D 40 or a mojo 40.
I really prefer not to have to build a kit right now.
Do you think i can go wrong with either? Is there anything much better about one or the either?
Thanks

Since you can't build right now, the decision is easy. The Fusion. The MoJo is only available as a kit right now.

You can get a Mojo ARF but they are pricey.

I think either one would do great as a first. The Fusion is supposed to be more precise than the other type, that's what I've read anyway. I had a OMP Katana GS and it was awesome to learn on but mine broke in half and a Fusion is now on the way.

This is a popular question and it really boils down to what type of flying you want to do. If you want to learn 3d then go with a traditional fun fly style plane. If you want something capable of more precision and 3d (i.e. freestyle flying) then go with the Fusion. OMP also offers the Katana 46 V2 which is an ARF and more the traditional fun fly plane. Also a two-piece wing.

Nope, sorry but that's a really LONG drive. Did it one year and it was a GREAT show. Just can't afford the time away these days.

Unless I'm mistaken, the MoJo arf has been sold out for months. Whether or not it will return is still unknown.

Or just get both. I think that's what I'm going to do.......

I vote for the mojo 40 kit. In buiding the kit, you will know what you have in the plane (kits are always easier to repair) along with extra covering should the need arise. Nothing flies like a mojo and they are extremely tough!! Mine nose planted once (due to batt. failure) from about 50ft up into the rock solid frozen ground-only damage was a broken prop and spinner! The burrito is another excellent Swany plane that is worth looking at.
