I only have 3 planes. I do have the 9C Synthesized Tx and Rx so I am sort of there. I was about to start buying the synthesized RXs for my other planes when the spread sprectrum stuff started hitting the market. Now I will just hang for a while till they get the kinks worked out.

Is anyone else considering the cost of buying these receivers for every plane they fly or even car the control ? because it is spectrum so no need for only using them in airplanes"

My thought is that you can easily move them from some models to soem models and "velcro" them in. Initially keep the cost down.

Sell your FM stuff to finance the 2.4G recivers, my Spektrum will be up for sale as soon as the Futaba modules for my Zap are available or the 12ch Futaba, I have over 20 aircraft to convert, but all my petrol aircraft are converted already the lack of worry over FM interferance with spark ignition maks it worthwhile.

this is a good and bad idea. I went through doing this for 4 years and finally realized all I was doing was risking setting up the control surfaces wrong and damaging the pin connectors. Not to mention if you don't ground yourself to metal each time you touch the thing it can cause static shock to the units. I have to weigh the odds on this new system especially with the price of 72mHz receivers dropping like a rock.

My distributor for Horizon just emailed me that he received shipping notification for **part** of his backorders for the Spektrum JR modules and AR9000 receivers. He estimates shipping mine to me by Weds/Thurs next week.

I have my 9303 all ready for this exchange, and will also be selling my DX7 as soon as everything checks out.

Hope others with backorders get some product, too!

Got my module today and installed it. I won't get a chance to actually fly with it till this weekend, but everything checked out so far. I'm super happy I got it especially after I took a hit on my channel Sunday when I was flying at another clubs field. I think that this will be my next best investment besides buying my 9303 last year.

anyone feel that the connector stick out too much in back.

the connector hits the tray (if using one) before the handle does, thus putting pressure on gold fitting connector..

other than that..everything is way cool.

I noticed that last night as I was setting up rx'ers in my planes. I think I'm gonna get one of those folding stands that attach to the back of the tx so when I set it down I won't have to worry about hitting that connector.

I got to fly my 47" electric yak last night and soooooooo much nicer. I was taking hits at odd times with my little electric using an ultralite JR rx, not anymore! For the guys that were worried about slower response, I can tell you that I absolutely did not see any difference in the control response or the way it felt in the air at all. I should get to put my QQ yak and my funtana x up this weekend.

Got it tonight and bound it to a 6100 receiver. Flew the foamie a few flights, and then went home and installed the 9000 reciever into an edge. This weekend looks like bad weather here . . .

I don't have this stuff yet , but at one of the fields were I fly , a JR rep, is flying a heli like he was in some kind of competition with out any problems. Another guys flies big electrics with it with no problems. They never fly together , so who knows if they are just getting lucky. I am going to wait another 2 years or so before dropping a bunch of money into planes not worth putting this amount of money into them. Hopfully I will have the Heli and the gasser plane I want in the next two years.
