Sorry about your 'problem'

You are spot on with regard to the Hawk and the 44 combo, just magic to fly
I am still flying mine and still love it.
Must be 3 years old now, great plane...great engine, just a spot on combo.

Enjoy, and lets see a video....

All the best

Paul

If the Dynamax is around 5 1/2in diameter then I have the intake ducting. You can roll your own tailpipe using mylar sheet, or the thin Proskin from Mick Reeves.

The pics show a black Hawk which I think has an electric Dynamax conversion (not mine) from a couple of years ago, and a white Hawk fuz with my scratch-moulded intakes for my Stumax installed, with the white Dynamax ducting alongside it.

PM me if you're interested.

Gordon

Great thread! I am still working my way through it, but it has been extremely informative. I have a 44 that is looking for a home and based on this build thread, it looks as though the Fox Hawk is a perfect match. I have not had much luck in finding a US distributer that sells it. Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

Thanks,

Mark

Paul,

Thanks for responding. I checked their web site and did not see any Fox jets. It looks as though they were a distributer of Wren turbines at one time as well, but it does not appear that they do anymore. I will continue searching.

hi paul,
its the one piece wing which i belive is the small scale one,
was going to put my 44 gold into it so it would be light and no problems.

Hi Guys. Im just going to add to this thread after all this time!. Met Paul at one of the Classic Jet Meetings this month where we had a good chat about my Hawk. Im not into doing things scale as I do not have the time nor patients!, but do appreciate a good model and the time and detail a modeler puts into it. Below are a couple of pics which I hope you like.
I have had a few problems along the way which have been pointed out to me and have now been rectified. Nothing build wise just how the Hawk fly's and what I should be doing. These include adding crow braking with flaps which is a god send after the first attempt at landing!. Moving the CG back has help greatly with landing and general flying, and just general bits and bobs which have helped me along the way. Im no Jet flyer by all means. I fly large areobatic models with big petrols up front and see the jet side as the hobby part as opposed to the passion bit with the larger models. The Hawk is an absolute dream to fly and is a real sports jet. Thanks to every one who has contributed to this thread as it made my build so easy with the great advice posted on here.

I still toying with ideas and have a load of lights turning up soon for the Hawk. Wing tip lights, nose lights etc. Nothing scale mind you!!

CG is at 140mm back but im going to try 150mm on the next outing which may be a while yet. It still pulls round in a 45deg up line and half roll. Although this could all go to pot if I try and shoe horn a smoke system in there as well!

Thank you Paul and Brian for help!
The Vac Form site i not found the cockpit.

I received mine Fox Bae Hawk weeks ago from Jim, but without cockpit. I'll put a Modellbau T-500 turbine.

The Jim Fox stopped production of the Hawk (I think is bad for us) and he sold the molds for another guy.
I'm looking for my cockpit Hawk, equal to that of Paul G. Jim told me that his supplier lives in germany, but did not say who the person is.
I would like to find the person who makes this ABS cockpit. It is perfect for this jet!

Regards
Fabio

Yes he sold the molds to a Belgian guy whom I know.
He told me he will start next year by making new molds and digitizing all the wood parts for cnc production, that or selling it to the chinese if the price is right.
Depending on time available. He also bought the molds for the Jim Fox F-86.
If you need canopies and cockpits do contact Jim because he can order them for you I was told.
