we do not remove content once it is posted on RCU unless the posts were against the rules somehow. We leave the discussions here so others may learn from it and keep the threads you participated in within their context.

If you posted in the classifieds those posts will be pruned over time. To "disappear" simply do not post or visit anymore.

Sorry to see you go.

I am sorry also Marc, I learned more on RCU in 3 months about RC than in 25 years of practice.
But I received those last two days very agressiive mails from peoples I considered as friend.
I was here to practice my hobby and to exchange infos and tips. Some friends had benefit from my experience and I had benefit from experience of other friends.

I can simply not tolerate that stupid attitude against me wich is based on the fact that :'BELGIUM" is writte near my nickname.

Maybe see you after the war....

Friendly,

Philippe

Yes, you need to stick around. Here's what you do:

Forward the complete contents of the message to Marc. Ask him to have these people kicked off of RCU. Since they are using RCU to harrass you, he shouldn't tolerate this. Then make a kill file for your e-mail so you don't have to read their crap.

I would say stick around and make the best of it.
You can turn off E'mail in options, Delete Your photos in gallery, and can even go back through Your post's and edit out any info You don't want to leave.

But Don't let the Snobbers snub Ya, You offer good information and some don't like being up-staged.

I would like to see You stay.
Dan

As i tell people at school-----"I ignore stupid people" so if you get mean emails, PM's ignore them, I have had one guy dis me real bad, but i basicly ignored him, as youll find to, there are people that will defend you, and go against you--and I have seen both.

so what , your from Belgium---SO WHAT---if people get upset about them, put them on your ignore list.
I for one dont care where a person is from, I will try hard to help you if you need help or relate to a story. Yes there are certain groups i dont care for, no I dont tell them , but i will still be friends with them--so for you people making fun of leroifort, get over it.

Do not let anyone chase you off of RCU. Send me any PM's or posts that are derogatory and I will address them. Also you can go to your control panel and under there you will see an "ignore users" list. Place these people on your list and they can no longer contact you and you won't even see their posts if you prefer this route.

This site is about RC and not for politics and such. This is a place to come and have fun and forget about the bad stuff going on around us all.

I agree with Marc--- once your on RCU leave all your problems in the real world behind and enter the world of R/C.
And what he said about the ignore list, i have used it to--its a good way to go--stay on RCU---dont leave---

Don't let ignorant people chase you away. Give the methods mentioned a go and give Marc a chance. I would rather not correspond with ignorant people but that will be all that's left if they chase people away. I admire your willingness to post and think we can all learn.

Because I received many mails to ask me to continue my posts, I will reconsider the question.

But, I want to explain why I reacted so bad to the adverse mails I received.
The story I will tell here is not politicaly oriented, It's only some informations about myself and what I do in real live.

several years ago, United states army made an operation in Irak called "desert storm" aka "the gulf war".
Those kind of operations involve a very complex logistic suport, and allied nation contributed a lot in that, especialy the england RAF.
At this time I was working in the belgian's main airline company called 'SABENA". My company was owning 5 DC10/30. Our DC10 had the rare particularity to have a big upper deck cargo door to allow full cargo operations (they are now the property of FEDEX).
The british government asked to belgium to use one of those plane for logistic operations to Daran. They also asked to provide a team of volunteer cockpit crew members qualified on the plane.
I was one of them
I made several missions with that plane to assure support to US army.
I was volunteer for two reasons, the main one is that I was convicted to do something good, the other one is the fact it was my only chance to fly one day in the wings of a f14

That's the explanation to the fact I react so bad to adverse coments.

plenty of people are going to read this story and post a reply, that's why I will change my nickname and my acount on RCU. I am really not a dickhead and I want to stay here to talk RC only.
I will only advise a few friends who shared interest in some of my RC projects and also Marc about my new identity.
I will continue to exchange valuable informations with valuable members and use RCU in the way it has been designed for .

Friendly ,

Leroifort
