Hi Jack,

It is certainly possible but we haven't tried any set up to be able to make recommendation on.

Regards,
Reza

Thanks Reza....I will look into what set-ups people are using in these sized planes...Hopefully I can come up with something...I'm new to electric but I think the 86" would be a perfect candidate..

wingburner,

I have a 73 qq with a hacker A60, 12s 4000, awesome, awesome plane. I heard that hacker has a bigger version of this outrunner now, A80 or 100, something. Anyway, the A60 would push it decent I suspect, but if you like serious power, go with the new hacker. I did not think they could make anything nastier than that A60, but they have.

got to keep your wieght up front on these conversions, the nose is usually light. I've done alot of e-conversions if you need help.

So electric gives more weight-thrust ratio than gassers??

ligher, more power? how interesting.. i never though big ones would apply under the same concepts of small ones..

Unbelievably so, The only problems I ever have with my conversions is getting the plane not to be tail heavy. I wish someone would build a 50cc plane ground up designed for electric, not a conversion. These electric motors out now will put any fueled engine to shame. If it weren't for the weight & expense of batteries i doubt they would sell any fuel engines except for scale people who need the sound. My A60 in my 73 QQ is just a monster. I had a ys 140 in the same plane & it put the YS to shame even hauling around 3lbs of batteries!!!!
