I got my bell buddy today. It looks good to me, well made, exactly what I assumed it would be. I can't imagine what else you'd use to hold the bell while removing the gears. My gears aren't quite ready to change yet and I ordered early March, think I missed out on getting some hardened ones, bummer. The original alignment of my engine puts the first gear in a good position, but for the smaller gear the engine is angled slightly and the smaller gear is wearing half way into the teeth. Not sure if I should reposition the engine or just leave it alone.

Anyway at least I won't have any trouble changing them now I have my bell buddy!!

Cheers,
Craig.

Great job on that tool... notch made one for the tech out of a big socket wrench a while ago and it makes removing the gears super easy with no chance of damage.

Ok gang, the last tool is on the way to California as we speak. I WILL have a new batch ordered soon!! Thank you to all who has purchased one so far, you wont be disappointed the first time you need to change those pinions.

Feedback would be very welcome and encouraged!

And thank you to those that posted an interest in tool, but could not make the purchase. (dont worry there will be more!!!)

And thank you so much for the compliment, CEN Racing! Your encouragement is very much appreciated.

So look for "The Bell Buddy" coming soon, to an RCU Marketplace near you!! I will post here when they are available!!

Oh, its okay, I just managed to do it using the oven and some big pliers.
And fortunately with no damage.

But I can see how your tool would be much easier though.

Hey glad too see you got it with heat.. I actually wanted to see if the tool is still needed with new Hardened pinions CEN was Making and shipping in GST. Limited run manufacturing is very cost prohibitive, however I could have several made If there are enough orders for them.... What ya think???

I don't need one at the moment thanks TRD, well until the next one goes that is .

Mind you, it did me well, it was the original pinion and 18 months old.

I found out why it went, when I switched over from Genesis Red chassis to GTS Green, the engine mount wasn't aligned properly.
I have sorted it now by enlarging the engine mount holes to allow some fore and aft movement as well as side to side.

Yeah thats what I did to get more adjustability, just be careful not to elongate the holes too much.. I have an engine plate I cant use now, rookie mistakes

Anyway glad you have it sorted, and glad to hear from you again, dont be such a stranger in these parts..

Att all you new GST / NEMESIS owners. This is a quality must have item at a fair price. One fouled up bell and you've paid for it.
