ORIGINAL: alexdeliu Anyone use Magnum 5%? It is the cheapest and I know that it is prepared with ricin oil. I would rather you not refer to Castor Oil as ricin oil. The skin of the Castor Bean is used to produce ricin, the innerds of the bean gets pressed and releases the oil. The oil does not have any ricin in it, in fact is not poisonous. Ricin is poisonous! It is one of the most deadly poisons around. Castor Oil is also used in baking and for medicinal purposes, that which is used in medicine has been purified a bit more and thus is not as good for lubrication in methanol fueled engines. So while both products are from the Castor Bean, one is poisonous and one is not. The OS FX is low compression engine and requires some nitro in the fuel. It will run best on 15% nitro fuels and will run its worst on 0% nitro in the fuel (due to lower compression). You may remove the head and see it there is a space/shim used between the head and the crankcase. If so, remove the spacer and the compression will be raised a bit and make the engine a better performer with lower or zero nitro enhanced fuel. Cheers, Chip
