It depends on what brands of fuels are available to you. Read the labels and check the contents and avoid anything that doesn't tell you exactly how much oil is in it. Personally I'd go for any fuel that has at least 20% oil and a high proportion of that being castor.

From my country I can buy :

Magnum with 5% or 10% nitro
Tornado with 5% or 10% nitro
Graupner Titan with 5 % nitromethane content and 22% purified lubricant
Morgan Cool Power with 5%

What you recomand?

Magnum...forget it because they won't list the ingredients.
Tornado...hard to say because all I could find was that they make fuels for cars so it's likely to have very low oil content and all they seem to advertise is nitro content.
Morgan Cruel Power...oops, Cool Power has low oil (17%) and all synthetic.
Morgan Omega also has only 17% but at least some of it is castor.

My pick would be the Graupner, they've got a good reputation and I believe the oil they use is Aerosynth or Aerosave which, although not castor, is supposed to be very good.

Those Graupner oils is very good and is about all that is used here in Norway. Aerosave, aerosynth, Aerosynth competition. They are all great. We actually mostly use 15% oil content too, no worn out engines around here for years and years of use

I would rather you not refer to Castor Oil as ricin oil. The skin of the Castor Bean is used to produce ricin, the innerds of the bean gets pressed and releases the oil. The oil does not have any ricin in it, in fact is not poisonous. Ricin is poisonous! It is one of the most deadly poisons around.

Castor Oil is also used in baking and for medicinal purposes, that which is used in medicine has been purified a bit more and thus is not as good for lubrication in methanol fueled engines.

So while both products are from the Castor Bean, one is poisonous and one is not.

The OS FX is low compression engine and requires some nitro in the fuel. It will run best on 15% nitro fuels and will run its worst on 0% nitro in the fuel (due to lower compression). You may remove the head and see it there is a space/shim used between the head and the crankcase. If so, remove the spacer and the compression will be raised a bit and make the engine a better performer with lower or zero nitro enhanced fuel.

Cheers,

Chip

WCM...

Unfortunately, "Ricin Oil" is a literal translation from a number of foreign languages. ie: (Cesky) "Ricinus Oleje"

It's OK man!!! We can still call our beloved bean "castor", but in fact...much of the world calls it ricin oil.

Oh well.

Our club got together a 50 case buy from Magnum a couple of years ago. I bought 3 cases of their 10% sport fuel. Before we ordered, our club president talked to "Buzz" on the phone and expressed concern about the lack of info regarding oil. He was told they use 20% oil in the "sport fuel." We had people getting 0, 10, 15, and 30% nitro. The fuel runs great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of it.
