It sounds like a connection/bad input battery. Can you view or test the input voltage when you push start?

If it gives error after 1-2 minutes then is an idication of low input voltage.

I have the same charger.

I just bought a 5 cell battery and after a minute or two, it starts beeping at me saying low voltage. I looked in the manual and it says that error will show if the voltage is above 15v. This is has to be a flaw in its design since a 5 cell is rated at 18.5 nominal.

I think there's just a bug with it. There must be a problem with the cell detection or voltage detection. I cant figure out which one it is.

Are youi sure we aren't confusing input voltage (15 v) with low output voltage?

ahh..yes I was.

Sorry for the confusion. I'd probably help if I didn't read so fast

Upon reading the original post more slowly and digesting what you are asking, the only thing I can think is that you have your two 12v batteries wired in series (making 24v) and not parallel. I run two 12v batteries for with the same charger.

Does your charger work if you only had one of the 12v batteries connected?
