I guess I don't follow your question...

Scale just means it looks like a real one.. i.e., the dimension, etc. are scale to the real vehicle.. does not mean that it is low performance.. slow.. etc.

Plus if it's a scale truck why does it need so much protection?

Oh... Nevermind i said that then.
Still looks fugly and costs some serious coin.

It's worth whatever people are willing to pay. Customers dictate the prices set.

Well, thanks for seeing things a little from my perspective. But yeah after putting some more cool-headed thought into it and reading your subsequent posts, I can understand and do hope that the proper production version will be cheaper to produce (and hence sell) since the parts/process will be more streamlined and such. I guess you can call my earlier posts "price shock." It would make an awesome scale racer I agree, and there should be more quality scale kit/ARR/RTR trucks out there in general. I would like to zip around something else other than modern STs with the particular look (race-bred you can say) they have evolved into.

I don't think I imagined ever saying this being a pro-electric brushless-motors-pwn-nitro guy , but I'd want to see how it would appear/perform/sound with a small nitro engine in it for the added "realism." Perhaps with a 2-speed and ~35-40 mph tops. I've got a TRX Pro.15 that might fit the bill (tight squeeze that nitro gear would be I imagine).

Okay, I'm busted.

I need to paint the body first and get some mint pictures for their website before I beat it up.

They have some dates and prices on thier wedsite, in the first post. There have been a lot of changes in the last few days so stay tuned.

The production kit may have Tamiya DF03 shocks.

I feel the same way about the Tamiya High-lift as you do with this truck. I think the Hi-Lift is over priced and shelf queen material.

It's just a matter of opinion. I drove it around last night and it is 10 times more capable than the 350 could ever be.

I love my High Lift, but I agree with you, it is an over priced shelf queen...........until you put a cheap, plastic Chevy body on. Then, its no holds barred!

I admit that I like the look of this truck more than the F-350 and it promises to be more fun in the dirt. The suspension travel at the rear looks very impressive by hand, so I can't wait to see how it takes rally-type jumps. Is the front travel just as good? Do the front wheels stay perpendicular to the chassis through the entire travel of the front shocks (The Tamiya Hummer doesn't and it bugs me )?

I wish I lived close to you and CustomTamiyas4Life. I want to get in on some of the action that the two of you see.....that is until I think about the unfortunate weather in your climate. It is sunny and 70 in Texas.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this thread!

Jason
