blade cp+A.E. kit...what Lipo?

ive been searching around a bit and have discovered many types of lipos for my CP. Im going to install my AE kit tomorrow and i think i need a lipo for it,correct?

is the eflite 11.1V the best option? i already have a charger for it...

but what about setting pitch and what not for the different motor?

Yeah, this subject is of interest to me as well. I have a cx2, and just got a cp. I've been wondering if i should get another of the Ni-MH's that came with it, or upgrade to the Li-Po's like i'll need when i upgrade the kit. I have TONS of questions, I'm gonna start a new thread.
Looking foward to this one!
Au revoir.

Pretty much any 13C (or higher) 3S 11.1v Lipo in the range of say 900mah to about 1300mah will work.

Once would choose the lighter battery for shorter flight times but better performance, and the heavier one for longevity.

A Thunder Power 1320 pro lite is an excellent choice for the BCP, but any similar lipo will work...

ok ive popped in the 370 9T motor and changed the tailmotor as well, i put on the carbon sym blades and pitched them to 10 deg full throttle and 2 degress center stick (idle up) while tracking the blades it still seemed weak, i mean it didnt get light on the skids until almost full throttle. any suggestions? is this why i would need a lipo?

I don't know for sure but I think the advantage of a LiPo over a NIMH would be the flight times on normal flight, not including stunts. Any feedback on this guys? I'm curious as well since I've been considering getting LiPos when I get REALLY good

You can't fly with the stock Nimh pack with a 9T pinion. The battery just doesn't have enough voltage to spin the motor fast enough.

With an 8 or 9T pinion, you MUST use a 3S 11.1v lipo battery. There is a chart in the back of the manual that explains all of this in detail...

So My 11.1V 800mAh 3 cell isnt gonna cut it, huh? What about for the BCX2?

i think 800mah is ok.

ok guys, what are you planning to do with the blade? just hover or ff? or throwing it around? for gentle hovering or ff, use a heavier batt ie, tp1320, and you get long flight times, when your throwing it around flips and rolls and inverted flight and stuff, you won't want a batt over 1000 as you'll feel like throwing a brick around. (since the batt is far from the horizontal axis). make sure you get some higher rating batts for 3D. the 800mah i think will do good on 3D if it's got enough C rating.

Gene Valjean: Your 800 will likely work so long as it is rated at about 13C or higher you should be fine...

ok ill get the 860 because its only 2 bucks more than the 800 and the manual says 15 min flights in allout acrobatics.
i was mostly worried about ruining my 4n1 with the wrong battery. and i was hoping there were cheaper batts of the same quality available.

oh btw is my CX-2 charger deff going to charge this properly? all 11.1V batts will work from this charger?

ct420 is correct. The CP manual covers this topic under the "Lithium Polymer Battery Upgrade Recommendations" and in the "Recommended Power System and Main Blade Configurations" sections on pages 5, 6, and 7.
