Sean, Anything with iron in it, like the steel crank shaft, bearings, rings (if any) and some liners can rust. Many linings are plated with chrome or nickle and that usually will keep any rust at bay or the lining may be Chrome/Nickle pated brass (ABC type engines). I may be wrong on some finer points, but I think generally I have it correct. Boca did have detailed instructions on getting the old bearings out and the new ones in, Can't remember if they came with the bearings or were on line. If memory serves me, I think I ordered the bearings on a Friday and had them in hand on Tuesday. Great Job by Boca.
