Status: offline 		I'd like to experiment with inflight video using an old Sony Hi8 video camcorder. Anyone sucessful using this method? Any one know of any video around done this way? I figure if I can conquer any vibration issues, the resulting footage would be of pretty good quality.

Status: offline 		Yes I did this several years ago with a Sony unit I bought at an auctoin that would record only ,thats why i guess they sold it so cheap,anyways I mounted it atop an old PICO Waco kit with a Evra gas engine. I imediately discovered I was a little heavy and top heavy at that and under powered but none the less completed 2 successfull flites before calling it a day.When i took the tape oveer to a friends home to play it back on his camcorder i was thrilled.The quality was very good except for an occasional blur no doubt from the engine vibes but otherwise great.
