vnmsgt -> RE: Orlando,fl (10/27/2007 1:47:56 PM)

I am in winter garden. Looking for some guys to go to some tracks on tuesday nights and sundays. I go to a track in clermont on sunday and sometimes bartow and on tuesday nights me and some guys from work go to bartow or Avon park. We do this everyweek. If anybody is interested let me know. I would like to try some different places too. I am also looking for some help to build a track on my house. I have about 3 acres and just got it cleared to put one on.

Cassleberry, FL. I race at Superior Hobbies on the first Sunday of every month, but want to find some more events to go to. If anyone knows of any other races or just get togethers at parking lots in central FL, let me know.

The NiTRO -> RE: Orlando,fl (12/29/2007 5:36:14 AM)

I'm in Oviedo, Fl. Are there any tracks around here? I have a Nitro Evader ST

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/5/2008 6:27:40 PM)

There is a race tomorrow at Superior Hobbies in Cassleberry but it's on road racing. I have been looking for an off road track around here for a while with no real luck.

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/10/2008 4:09:13 AM)

Anyone else in central Florida?

bbennettfl -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/15/2008 3:28:54 AM)

I'm in Apopka. I usually drive to the Ocala track.

Wow, that's about 2 hours from me. The track looks very good though, it may actually be worth the drive.

It is! They also have covered works stations, lights, power and air compressors.

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/16/2008 5:14:37 PM)

So I don't need to bring a tent? Or is it still a good idea? Also is the track hard to find?

bbennettfl -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/16/2008 5:36:57 PM)

Not unless you go on a race day. If you go during the week or on a Saturday there is plenty of room under the covered work areas.

It’s easy to find, I take that new toll road in Apopka off of 436 to the Turnpike, to i-75 and to the 200 exit in Ocala. Make a left off the exit and just after the Burger King make a right at the light. Take that road down a couple of miles until you see the sports complex on your right (you’ll see the big lights of the baseball fields). Go down to the yellow gates towards the back and drive in to the track area.

(I believe you could also take 441 from Orlando to Ocala and then to 200)

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/16/2008 5:43:18 PM)

Yeah, 441 sounds like a better option for me. I am having trouble understanding the the event calender on it, when do they race?

bbennettfl -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/16/2008 5:51:42 PM)

The site is outdated. They announce when they will be racing on the forums. Usually on Sundays. I’m new to the track, but after you talk to a few people you get to know everything.

Their forum - http://orccc.aimoo.com/

I believe they're racing this Sunday.

unluckylonestar -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/21/2008 9:10:58 PM)

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/22/2008 4:25:42 AM)

unluckylonestar -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/22/2008 1:18:11 PM)

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/22/2008 5:23:57 PM)

Thanks, I really want to find as many tracks around central Florida as possible.

unluckylonestar -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/24/2008 8:40:06 PM)

never heard of fern park fl where is that located. yea it kinda sucks that the second closest track to me is 1 to 2 hour drive

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (1/25/2008 6:27:36 AM)

It's basically Cassleberry which is really close to Orlando. I live about a minute and a half from Superior Hobbies, and it's the only track I know about anywhere around here. There once was a offroad track in Sanford that I think was called Flight Line hobbies but it closed years ago. There was also T.Q.Hobbies in Altamonte that closed a year or two ago. But other than that I am left with one track and one type of racing. I'm willing to drive up to an hour or two if I know it's a good track with a good group of racers, and a good hobby shop on site.

Ultrakd -> RE: Orlando,fl (2/11/2008 4:07:18 PM)

celly -> RE: Orlando,fl (2/11/2008 10:15:38 PM)

You know, We use to have a RAD basher community in east Orlando about 2-3 Years ago.. But then too many n00bs would show up -- Fire up their TX and wreck the 'usuals'... On top of that most of our fields for off-road stuff were turned into Publix's, Home Depot's and Walmarts..

That being said, I wouldn't mind meeting up with anyone for some good bashing. I have been looking for some nice fields/parking lots in Orlando for a while now -- So if anyone knows any secrets.. Please share... ;)

Also -- Been trying to go out and race again at Superior, but realized I don't know anyone out there anymore -- and can't convince any of my buddies to sit out there for 8 hours to be my pit crew. So any of you electric guys don't mind helping nitro guy out ( it can be our lil' secret ;) ) -- I'd be ever so grateful.

associatedrules -> RE: Orlando,fl (2/12/2008 3:33:41 AM)

I could pit for you, I'm up there every race and usually only run in electric.
