Status: offline 		Ok. There has been so much written with so many opinions intertwined with fact, conjecture, acrimony, falderol, and spurious other comments, I figured I'd simply add to them.

Here's the order: 6 HS5925's, 1 HS5735 (man that's a big sucka!) and an HFP-10. All purchased at wicked good prices from Donald's Hobby Center in Paris Texas. [url]www.donalds-hobby.com[/url] and all with free shipping! Thanks Don!

The 5925s and 5735 are stickered with Mar 02.

Question 1: [COLOR=red]They are labeled Mar 02 but no v1.03. Is this an issue?[/COLOR]
The HFP-10 has no label denoting v1.03. In the picture on the box, the programmer display shows V1.01.
Question 2: [COLOR=red] Is the abscence of a V1.03 label an issue?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=orangered]UPDATE:[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Now that the HPF-10 has been on charge for about 90 minutes, I was able to turn it on. the display does in fact come up V1.03 so I am all set there.[/COLOR]

Status: offline 		My initial tests were done with both a brand new JR 955 S-PCM rx and an old Hitec RCD3600 dual conversion rx.
The battery was an 1100mah 6v pack with a full charge.

I hooked up all of the 5925s (2 on a non-buffered or otherwise molested Y) and the 5735.
Used an open model program on my 8103, set all the D/R's to 125% and all of the ATV's to 150%. Then, let the exercising begin!

1. [COLOR=royalblue]WOW![/COLOR] The 5925s are FAST! Blazing fast!

2. The 5735 isn't as fast but still moves out.

I spent about 20 minutes of total on time with lots of stick movement. I didn't experience any odd behavior. I left the servos idle for about 10 minutes. No over heating.

The HFP-10 is on charge.

Status: offline 		I've gotten a confusing response from Hitec on this subject but I have had problems charging the battery in the programmer. Just like most TXs the programmer has a diode in the battery circuit to prevent reverse current from damaging the circuits.

Remove the left panel screws, unplug the battery, and cycle the 1100mah NICAD with your cycler. If you haven't format charged it then set up the charge rate for c/10 for the 1st charge cycle. Now you are ready to really use it.

Status: offline 		All 6 servos were bench tested - reset and exercised, each for 10 minutes.

The test was as follows:
[COLOR=crimson]Reset [/COLOR] - All servos were reset. These were apparently of the earlier variety which, one the full range of motion was reached, none went back to neutral and had to be unplugged and manually returned to center
[COLOR=crimson]End Point test[/COLOR] - 3 minutes at a rate that allowed full range of motion
[COLOR=crimson]Pot test [/COLOR] - 3 minutes at full speed
[COLOR=crimson]End Point test[/COLOR] - full speed
[COLOR=crimson]Pot test [/COLOR] - very slow speed to watch for smooth operation

All six performed the test flawlessly. All operated smoothly.
[COLOR=sandybrown]Note: [/COLOR] When testing end points, make sure that the programmer is running slow enough to allow the servo to reach its endpoint.

The 5735 was tested in an identical fashion to the 5925s.

All 6 servos were slightly warm to the touch on the motor end of the servos but not hot. The 5735 took the longest to warm and felt cooler than the others.

I tested a 5625 and 5645 for kicks. The only significant difference was the distinct servo activity generated by the high-torque motors. The sevos nearly fell off my bench with their movement.

Next up: dead band set and matching of 2 pairs for ailerons.

I hooked my HFP-10 right up to my Hobbico Accu-cycle. Charged it the 24 hours Hitec recommends. Seems to have taken the charge just fine.

Mike: Can I hook my ESV meter up to it to check the battery levels?
