It looks like the planes have all the same frequencies. 27hz. They don't offer the 2 different frequencies 27 and 49hz. Let me know if I'm wrong. Ron

darticus,

They are all on the same frequency but there are two channels. The blue version is on a different channel than the yellow version.

sonicjet,

The prices on the Amazon site are unbelievably low. Better buy a case of them. Thanks for the heads up.

OK, you got me there. I will have to check the TXs but I am quite sure that the blue and yellow are on different systems either channel or frequency. I will have to get back to you though.

darticus,

Sorry for the delay.

The Yellow one is on 49 Mhz

The Blue one is on 27 Mhz

Just bought one of each today for $14.99 at TRU on sale.

Even though they are on different Frequencies they can and do bleed over if you get very close to the alternate controller.

Gentleman, the last time I checked amazon had them for $10. I think ahaacobbler said they were a blast, it could have been DJ, however. The story was that it was better than the aeroace .both persons are reputable 2 ch flyers. I'm on a bit of a 2 ch sabbatical, to better learn 3-4 ch flying. The couple of times I've cheated my 2 ch flying is improved.

Tim

I have never flown a full size XPV. So I have no opinion on their flight abilities. From the videos I have seen they seem pretty capable. The reviews I have read were mixed so I have not bothered to purchase one myself. I will however keep buying the XPV Minis on sale for under $20 as they have all been good flyers for me.

So I go out an buy another XPV Mini and give it to this 70 year old guy who just bought a $100,000 dollar Audi Sports car (the one they advertised during the Super Bowl).

I get a call from him the other day and he is talking about how cool his new car is. He presses a button on the dash and the headers open up and the whole car lowers for sport mode etc....... Once he is done telling me all about how wicked cool his car is and how much he likes it he gets a bit sheepish and tells me that he has just as much fun flying the $14 XPV Mini I gave him as he does driving his car.

Now that is some recommendation. I have purchased 6 of these things and they all fly great.

Everyone should own one.

Has anyone tried to put a plug in the charger/switch hole, to see how it performs on water? It shuold be the only place it is not water tight?
Also has anyone triede to shave off some weight?
Are there any known mods to it expect for the wheels?
Just got my MXPV and our garden is not big enough for flying the MXPV

I believe that there is a much longer discussion over the XPV mini on RC Groups. I am sure people have looked at wheels and water but doubt the water one has worked. My friend unintentionally removed some weight from his after hitting the stop sign too many times. He said that even with a large piece of the plane missing it flew fine.

Take Care,
