The new 3MM Gas motor is now available at www.dawghouserc.com. I have one on my Wildhare Extra 300LX. As soon as the weather breaks I will have more info on how it runs. He also has aluminum spinners and aluminum standoffs. Very nice high quality stuff and great prices. I used his standoffs, 3.5" spinner and the stock 3MM muffler on my Wildhare. My airplane had a DA 50 on it orginally. Had to modify the cowl a little. The mounting hole pattern to mount the motor is different than the DA50 and the carb is side mounted instead of rear mounted. Using a servo for the choke also. Everything looks nice and can't wait to fly it.

What type of induction valve does the 3MM use? Is it a reed valve?
I like it's looks!

You caught me, I live in indiana haven't changed my cell over yet since my daughter lives in Boston...Geistware you really hunt for things. If your a moderator I think you need to act a little more professionally coulda asked that in a pm....But I have noticed it is typical for this site to act in that manner.
Yes it is a 2 petal reed, and the specs should be 31.0 If I remember right. I was advised of this yesterday on the missed decimal point.
This is turning a msc 22X10 out of the box at 6800-7000 Dick hanson threw a 24X8 on it and if I remember right hit 6400 on a new engine I sent him to play with.
Any further question don't hesitate to ask.
Scott

v snap, I bet you had that engine when you had your Ultimate Pitts. WIth the supplied muffler, how much bark (noise) does that motor have? Looks nice.

Muffler is quite good and does a normal job of sound control. It is very light so it won't help much with the balanceing of the engine. I will send an engine to Bisson and have a wrap around designed for it in the near future. We do know that the Moki mounting holes are the same as a friend was looking at trying the muffler on his big moki.
Dick has run the engine I will let him comment on what he thought. He may not have found this thread since it was moved.

engine is 4 pounds -- not 3 lbs so it is heavier than the lighter 50s but same as 3W essentially
very smooth runner - easy start - no leaks easy restarts -low vibes -all in all very nice engine. good quality!
the muffler sounds quite nice -for in cowl muffler- and does not harm power on the 24x8 - quite a surprise.
I would use it on this engine if I was to use in cowl muffler .
I would take it over any of the piston ported designs in that weight range 50-60 cc - -Having run Zenoah and Fuji in this size /weight --They both had notable vibration at 3000 --this one has none there - just a little bit right at 2200.

Just recieved engine from China, quicker shipping than from in the states. I am planning on putting it on the M12 Python, with a 23x8 prop.
Questions, the prop washer is so tight I can't get it on the shaft, same with the prop. Is the shaft larger than 10mm?
Do I need to use 22x8 for break in like the DA?
What fuel grade and mix are you using? Do you have any suggestions???
Thanks
Riggit1
