What is the least expensive, easy to install HH gryo for the axe cp, I'm looking for one that will install directly to the board, or is it best to install and esc? I'm looking at several on ebay and dont know which one to buy.

You will need a ESC with that gyro.. best to follow the directions but use a different type of ESC that will not cut the tail motor at a set volt .. you can use a different gyro with no problems i believe

the 401 wont work .. i have a 240 and i think its a great gyro.. there are others here that are using a different HH gyros..

I must be overlooking something. Why can't you use the factory Axe speed control with the gyro? You should be able to plug the gyro into the Axe receiver on channel 4 and then connect the orange single wire coming out of the Axe ESC to the signal line of the gyro. They should all share a common ground so the signal wire should be all that needs to connect.

What do you guys think about this one. It looks like a Futaba clone. I wish I knew how it well it performs. It's a good price at $49.

What is the difference in a 240 and a 401 and why will the 401 not work in the axe cp?
