I'm just wondering about SKS video. I've purchased enough of their products to pay a house note for a month and have patronized them for several years, since beginning this sport/hobby. I have noticed that almost all others producing videos offer "samples" of their products online but SKS only offers a brief paragraph about each of their videos on their website. I'd love to see them, with their video capabilities, put up "trailers" of their offerings. It's a shame that someone that's been doing this for as long as they have do not. I've e-mailed inquires and haven't gotten a response yet and was wondering what other think. I think they do a fine job and look forward to their offerings but would would probably buy more if I know more than what was in that brief paragraph. It's made me decide against a purchase on more than one occasion.

I'll continue to purchase from them but what does everyone else think with this "internet age"?

Status: offline 		Well. I can certainly answer that one. For years SKS Video Productions provided trailers for the masses to download at their leisure with great success. About two years ago we (SKS) encountered several dilemas regarding downloads on our website which put a sour taste in our mouth. We found that because our products are circulated in every country on the planet, individuals began to sell illegal copies (and yes, we have identified these individuals and the FBI have shut most of them down and are monitoring the rest). The point being...these individuals selling illegal copies openly sold our DVD's on the internet LINKING their illegal operation to our website for promotional purposes claiming they were authorized resellers. We (SKS) encountered massive bandwith spikes from this and felt it necessary to shut down the trailer feature because of that abuse. We have always provided Demo DVD's showing our latest products to anyone who inquired and provide many websites like RCU with promotional footage of all of our productions. So, there you have it. Since this has now made it to the forum, I will set up a meeting with our staff and look for a better way to provide this service to all of our customers and friends. First of all, I'd like to thank you for your reply and explanation of the problems encountered trying to bring this media to the pubic. I feel confident, with all the tools currently available for content publication on the internet, that you and your staff will find a methodology suitable that will compliment your excellent products.

It is unfortunate that greedy, inartistic individuals exploit those whom truly create genuine works, thus stealing revenue from the creator(s).

Once again, thank your for your reply. I look forward to SKS’s solution in thwarting piracy efforts while expanding consumers ability to view demo’s of your products.
