Imar,

They were there earlier and left before you got there.

Hey Rod... I believe the "new" Revo I have needs a big block in it..... Think I'll put a JP-2 pipe on it ... 3 shoe clutch.... vented flywheel and clutch bell.... should make things interesting.... Not sure if I want to put the Vantage chassis on that one, though...

Anyway, it was good bashing with you guys again.. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, I was in hot water as it was staying out for the extra hour..... I wish I coulda stayed and ACTUALLY seen that Kyosho do it's thing.... Apparently, I hear that it's a James Bond 007 vehicle.. doing a submarine thing... flying, etc..

Hey Flyin,

I was the guy yourself and 1badmaro met on Saturday (with the Savage, etc.). I've seen that the Redcat vehicles have been getting a good review around the web and in some of the magazines but there are things you should consider before rushing off to get one. As much as I even hate to say it myself, one of the things to look at is whether your LHS (local hobby shop) carries replacement parts for your vehicle. Now, if we only bought vehicles that met that criteria, we'd bore ourselves silly with one or two vehicle selections.

The main option here is to see whether other vehicle parts (say.. kyosho or ofna or team trinity, etc.) will fit onto the Tornado. believe it or not, quite often they do.. Additionally, I've known brave fellows back in the day who bought other vehicle parts and "modified" them to fit their vehicle. Either way, many vehicles are manufactured by the same company and sold under different names not to mention the Chinese/Japanese markets creating "bootleg" vehicles for things like the kyosho kanai, or CEN matrix.. etc.

Do some research to see if this is the case with the Tornado. If I have some time, I'll look into it myself also. I just don't want you to buy something that you'll later possibly regret.

Oh,
and I forgot to mention my favourite site. Ebay, the site of the used RC vehicle. If you watch and plan carefully, you can get a good deal..... or a steal for that matter!!!

thanks for the insight.. I have actually been into rc cars for 20 some odd years so I pretty know all about this.. But for $100 how can ya beat the Tornado. Look around too. Not bad reviews and a quite a big following on RC Universe.. .. Yes $100 for an 1/8th scale nitro 4wd car.. at that price its a throw away. anyway.. Im just talking at this point.. Gonna look around more..

Very True,

Even without the radio, it'd be a good buy. Hmmm... would be nice to see it tooling around the park!!
