Wasn't there a way to put on front shocks without the CRP towers?

I'm trying to fit Tamiya 1/14 Tractor oil shocks without a shock tower. Oh, and this is from Page 55:

Errr, no. This pic doesn't show my Frog. This is only a example someone posted. No idea what shocks these are.

These are the shocks I want to fit without a shock tower:

I took my Froggy out over to the local baseball infield with my daughter on saturday. I still haven't been able to get the transmission to stop skipping, but it was drivable on the loose clay with bald tires . I can see the outdrive cups spreading when I hit the throttle, so I think that may be the problem...

I ran my Frog this weekend as well! Had a lot of fun! It is a lot faster than I expected (remembered).. I am sure using the LiPo helps too.. (slightly higher voltage) I only run the stock silvercan..

It is all dirty now.. need to clean it.. (it was raining the day before, so the dirt was still kind of wet) A lot of fun, though!!

Oh yeah, forgot to take pics...

Maybe go back to the beginning of the thread and check out the pics from the build...

The springs are inside a tube between the front 2 suspension mounts.. it is rocker actuated..

Can the frog handle 150 mph with ease?

Maybe 30mph.....

Stock, it feels like it was doing 20mph+ w/ LiPo + silvercan.. it is not bad, really..

So that is 300 mph scale speed. Seems unrealistic.
