If I wanted to use carbon fiber or plastic main blades do I have to get the ones specifically made for the Axe CP? Or could I use any other ones as long as they are the same length as the Axe blades?

For example:
The carbon fiber blades made specifically for the Axe are about 225mm long and cost $50
Couldn't I get a set of carbon (or other material) blades that are about the same length and cost way less? (gotta love ebay)

Do they have a 2mm hole for the lag bolt? Post up a link.

oOOoh so does blade length NOT matter?? I saw some carbon fiber blades on eBay for about $20 shipped that were for a different heli (I think it was a Walkera). If the lag bolt holes are off ± 1mm couldnt I shim / drill them?

You might be able to modify them for use with the axe. Things to consider are...thickness of the blade root, and distance the hole is drilled from the end of the blade.
If the blade is too thick, it might not fit between the blade grips.
If the hole isnt the correct distance from the end of the blade, you might not be able to get the screw through it.

Also...if the blades are longer than the stock blades, you will have to change the pitch and throttle curves to match up with the new blades.
If its a BIG difference in lenght, you may even have to upgrade the motors to supply enough power to turn them...and you might also run into issues with boom or tail rotor strikes if the blades are that long.

I wasn't actually looking, but I came across these blades and thought I might give these a try when the time comes for new blades. Plus I think the T/R will work too!
