use the extended chasis kit made by jammin - it provides everything you need for around $42 and is thicker than the original chassis. You can find them on several sites now.

I have only driven the CRT .5 one time with the original chassis and one time with the extended chassis and the results were great. The extended chassis is about 15ml longer and the vehicle rides out the bumps and jumps much smoother. I bought an unused original PRO and just completed putting it on the extended chassis -- can't wait to run it now!

Hey Mike -- missed you out at Scott's this past weekend!

Well I did it -- I have a .12 Novarossi on its way for my .5! It is very simular to the engine I had on my NTC3 -- good power and it will last a long time. Now all we need is some warm weather!!

........well - once I read where you should only expect about 3 - 4 gals out of that engine you guys have I thought that I would just bite the bullett and get the better engine. Once you go Italion it is hard to go back!!

cool pictures - I like the paint job, looks good!

I like how you ran your fuel line. I haven't put my engine on yet and was wondering where to put the fuel filter and how to run the fuel line -- this gives me another option to consider.

thanks man, just be carefull because adding a fuel filter makes the tank leak problem even worse, so watch that.

WOW **** chassis is that you have.. I looked at your pic and never noticed it til now but the main problem with the PRO is the fuel tank hits the steering arm there and breaks the seal... your tank is way away from that part with that chassis... Im gonna be selling my chassis or throwin it out... Let me know what chassis that is and how stable it is man... thanks

It's the extended chassis from Jammin, great buy for $40 if you ask me, worth every penny, it even come with new screws.

How does the fuel filter add to the leaky gas tank problem?

no the filter DON'T make a tank leak, it just make the problem worse if you have it already, because with a fuel filter the tank need more pressure to push the nitro thru the fuel lines and fuel filter so if you have a leaky tank and you add a fuel filter the problem become more evident because less fuel goes into de carb and more pressure escapes thru the cap, I hope you get my point.

HI all
After many years with my RC10 GT , i finally gave up and bought a CRT5 to replace it , i took the RTR version for the longer chassis and normal servos and as i have a RB12 to put inside it makes me have two engines for it .
Will get by next week can not wait to have it as all i read about it looks like i am going to have a lot of fun.

RacingT -- ok, I can understand that, thanks! I got home early from work last night and took a close look at the gas tank and cap and it doesn't look like I have a problem with it closing all the way - but I will keep an eye on it that is for sure!

MXR - hope you enjoy the CRT .5 - I think that you will. RB makes a great engine so you will have plenty of power too! Have you been over to the jammin products web site? There is a section for the CRT and the CRT.5 and there are some good ideas regarding hop-ups etc.... The site here on RCU isn't too bad either. Good luck with you new toy!!

Well , i don't think i will be disapointed , i wanted a smaller truck than a 1/8 with deascent tire and parts prices , and most of all i do not want to have the same as everyone in our club , here no one has it .
And after some research on the net , it seems that with a CRT 5 you can even score very good lap times (close to a 1/8 truggy) .
I now wait very much for the spring in order to run in the engine and start using my crt 5
I had that Rb since a long time from my years of on road racing (1/10 touring) and with just a new piston and sleeve it will be like new .

Well she is almost done. Just waiting on the front shocks from nitro house and the shock mounts which will be here on friday. Long chassis conversion, 13mm rear shocks, pro-line 2.8 rims with 30 series bow-ties, 18tz, jp-5, jr650 for thr/brk, hitec5645 for steering, anyway to the pics.......

Does anyone know if a 15t cb will fit with the 2 piece engine mount and stock flywheel. I will most likely need to gear her down in the low end b/c im pretty sure the tz will make it wheely which is fun for showing off and bashing, but i am a racer.
Thanks

has any one tried other clutch bells ?? it seem's that any 1/8 clutch bell would be fine as the .5 uses same 5x10 bearings ?

Like you car , i have the same engine in my RC10GT and even with very long gears (18/62) the thing is strugling to keep the front wheels down , but the engine is so reliable and easy to tune that i would not change it ever again .
