I don't own the 8ight T, but I do own an 8ight B. The CRT.5 is just way too fun to drive and it's a blast when you lap a larger scale truck / buggy / etc. I currently have 2 CRT.5s... I have two kids and they love RC just as much as I do.... pictures on page 8, 9 and 10. To be honest, I like the CRT.5 so much that I bought one for myself last week... LOL... I really like my 8ight and although I can out pace the CRT.5 in the straights and clear the triples easier, it usually isn't far behind me. It's just one of those things that's easy to drive so it makes it fun. The only thing I have broken so far has been a shock cap as it's plastic. So far it's holding up rather well and yes we manage to abuse them from time to time. I for one drove it straight into a concrete wall at full speed and nothing major happened to it. Unfortunately the RX battery connector came loose and I just lost control of it. But to be fair I did the same thing at my local track with my 8ight... after clearing a couple of jumps it popped a shock cap. I purchased the 8ight RTR and those shock caps were plastic as well. Since then I've upgraded my 8ight with most of the CNC parts from the kit. Either one will serve you well... the CRT.5 is fun to drive and handles very well. You can save some money with the CRT.5 as you can pick up a SH or STS engine in the $100 range were as a good engine for the 8ight will be in the $200 range.
